Opt-In List and Link to Sales Page

Guys,
I am real close to putting it all together. I have a free offer on my page that you can download a pdf. What I want to do is figure out how to get my "sale" product in front of the customer at that point. I am not real sure how to do that. Can I ask for a bit of guidance into this? The way it is setup now is this, when someone gives me an email, I have an auto responder with a link to the download page. They can download the pdf at that point. So this is where I am stuck... I am thinking I need a sales page, but how do I link them to it from the PDF? Should I just "sell" it from the autoresponder? Thank you very much for any informaiton!

Once they sign up for you email list you redirect them to you sales page. Send them a link to download in the first email. You can do all of this through your autoresponder.

Thank you, Raygun. So what you are saying is that once they sign-up, I should send the link in the email that is autoresponding? That email has the free link in it... So I should put both? Thank you.

  • Once people subscribe they should instantly be sent by your autoresponder to a please confirm your subscription page and once they confirm they´re subscription. Send them to your "thankyou/download" page where they get the download link. Then in the first e-mail they receive you should send them the link again if they missed it.

    Hope this helps.

After they download the free PDF, they are now on your list. You should have a series of emails set up in an autoresponder.

In your autoresponder, you should have created a series of emails with various offers. You should also be sending them valuable information in order to keep them on your list. In your emails, include a link to the sales page of the product you are trying to promote. Make the email relevant to the product you are selling.

You should also include a link on the thank you page of the free PDF file they are going to download.

    Hope that helps

      1) They visit your web page and sign up for the pdf.
      2) Thank you page: reminds them to opt in in their email
      3) Opt in confirm page: they should go directly to the download page because that is what you promised them.
You can also make the download page the sales page, with a big reminder that they can download the file at the bottom of the page. Russell Brunson does all this with video. they go to the download page and there is an offer video with the download link at the bottom of the page.
      4) Or you can have the first autoresponder point them to your sales page. The first one always goes out automatically.

Hope this helps. Always go through the process yourself and make sure it flows smoothly and does what you want it to.

If they sign up for the PDF on the page then THEY HAVE ALREADY OPTED IN. The thank you page should not only have the free PDF download link but an offer to the paid product. After this, you send them emails with the paid product link to the sales page.

There is no reason whatsoever to send them to a page telling them how to confirm their opt in.

Redirect through your ar form to the sales page or at the very least a presell page . . They will figure out how to double opt ( if that is the format you choose ) .

Then send them the pdf ( which should also contain your sales page link) with the first email .

Little trick here : Second email points to a bonus ( your own) for buyers of the first product . The form contains a field for the pay pal address or conformation number . Buyers sign up for the new bonus after conformation unsub buyers from first list .

There is a way of doing this automatically with most ar's but I usually do it manually as if I find they didn't buy I delete them from the new list .

Wow great stuff. I am currently using hostgators autoresponder, so I am unsure how to send them to the Thank you page.
So they click submit, and as soon as they do, the submit button has a link attached that take them to a sorta Sales/Thank you page? I am using contact form 7 in wp to send the emails to my autoresponder. Does this sound about right? I have been reading about aweber, should I just switch to that?

How do I go about sending them to the thank you page? The opt-in email page is on one page, then sign up, click submit, then stay on that page, how to I get them to the Thank you page? Thanks again.

Yes, this is it. When they sign up, they get directly sent over to the sales page . At the top of it there is a thank you message and a request to confirm their emails while the rest of the page is a sales pitch for your product.

I think this works better as you may get most subscribers never coming back to check your offer.
