Hi guys,

Im happy to see that Ive just checked my amazon affiliate stats and I see someone has ordered 2 items from me The problem is my earning are showing $0.

I didnt have my payment method setup is this why? Or it could be because the items havent been shipped yet?

Thanks

    Hi

mine normally shows up once the item has been shipped and sometimes it takes about 12 hours to update so i would check back tomorrow and if it is not on there by then contact amazon as there might be a fault in the system.

    kind regards

Could be due to cancellations. Call your AM and see whats up. Normally your stats should reflect your commissions asap.

I'm sure you have to wait until they're shipped before the balance is updated.

      Congrats

If the item is shipped, but if the customer returns it or want a refund, do you still keep your commission or do Amazon take it away?

They take the commission back - marked as a negative in your next month.

Its taken me up to 3 days before an item shows as being payed so far, so no worries just yet.. As soon as its shipped it will show.

I was like you the first time, pannicking Id messed up somewhere or the customer had backed out.

It still surprises me why still so many affiliate programs don't provide real time status. The current affiliate program I work with update it status after 1 day which really pissed me of as I do ppc with it most of the time.
So same is case with amazon it still don't provide real time stats.

Im happy they dont, If they did I would spend half the day checking sales instead of trying to get work done

They don't show the commission immediately and one reason is that they allow people to cancel/amend the order up to the point of despatch. After it's despatched they'll show your commission, although of course the customer can still return it (in most cases) for a while.

It's disappointing that they don't show real-time information, but for most of us that's a good thing. We'd do better spending more time building sites and links than we would checking the stats over and over. And I'm as guilty as the next man of doing that so I know!
