Interesting Youtube Experiment

Warning: The video I'm linking to is political in nature. I'm putting this up here to merely show what can be done with youtube, so please don't turn this into a political discussion, ok?

This guy, Lee Doran, put up a series of Youtube videos in a quiz format. I can see a lot of uses with that, it's sheer genius.

Study what he's doing, and see if you can post some ideas on how to use that in your videos.

THAT is clever thinking. I'd love to learn how he's doing that if anyone has answers :-)

@Gene - it's actually pretty easy, YouTube has been allowing you to link for some time but this person is doing it in a really smart way, he's using the annotations feature which you can access through their "dashboard."

  • He's probably simply using annotations.

You can do that through youtube when you upload your videos.

That is really cool. I have looked at that before inside of YouTube and from what I found out, you can link out to another YouTube video but not to an external site. So you can have someone watch one video and then click to the next and the next. It might be a cool way to really get someone involved in the video's...

I think I am going to try this out. Thanks.

@Steven - you are correct, YT only allows links to other videos or channels within YouTube but doing so could help to "qualify" prospects or enhance their interest in your products.

Right away I thought the example video above would be great for a health or weight loss video, i.e. "Are you looking to lose weight" or "Lose fat" etc and then redirect them to a video that is aimed right at their goal.

Here's a cool video someone did that explains how those annotations work.

That is seriously slick. Not only could you use the quiz format to qualify people, if you offer related products you could use it to help them select the right one.

On top of that, I like the little branding element with the globe.

The videos themselves are short, provoking curiosity.

          KJ, thanks for the how-to...

That was some fantastic sequencing.I never knew about it.

It could work for any niche. Can we geo target? (Showing the appropriate cpa offers by country)

    Thanks for the share.

Very interesting - it's the first time I've seen that. I'd seen annotations but didn't know that there were clickable ones. Hmmmmmm....thinking cap ON!

That is very well done. the idea of quizzes is great!

I hate those annoying google ads that appear on the bottom of the videos. I think it's some of the most intrusive advertising that google does.
