Newbie to the forum saying hi and seeling advice

Hi all
I joined the site last week but just posting now for the 1st time
I have been looking around the forum and it all looks really good and professional (esp when compared to other IM sites)
There isnt anything special to say about me
I have experience in webdesign and do create my my own sites

I am looking to try my hand at CPL and CPA offers but I am not in a network as yet
I started yesterday on building a list by way of a free offer on email submit
I am doing this to A build a list and B test conversion rates
I have a few goals set in my head of what I want to achieve.
At the moment I am consecrating on getting traffic to pages as opposed to making money (I am hoping that will follow)
I am willing to work hard but do find it hard to be motivated especially when trying stuff that I dont know if it will work.

I am will to take on any and all advice that you may have and look forward to dealing with you all in the future

Well it looks like you're well on your way so far you're miles ahead of me when I first started out. I didn't even think I should be building a list -.-' and I didn't know how to design a website too well. Hell, I didn't even know about CPA, I just knew affiliate marketing.

I'm sure you'll find a lot of help around here, there's a lot of great information on this forum.

What do you mean there isn't anything special to say about you?

    Never ever say that!

I think for a newbie you're pretty smart and on the ball in terms of what you need to do. But by your statement you are showing to me you lack confidence. This will come in time with experience etc.

I would recommend you don't let that come across though as it could affect you when making sales.

But well done for a great start.

Wishing you the best of luck for the future.

espresso, you are really on a good plan. if you have done all these, then you just need to be focused to see your plant through. With all the ideas flying in the air, you may get distracted.

    keep the fire burning man.

    love you

    Hello there Espresso.

People mention that starting an online business is simple. But its not it takes a lot of hard work. I remember when l first started out. I didn't have a clue what to do. I made the mistake of paying out a small fortune to so called guru's so they could teach me how to make money online.

You seem more clued up than what l was when l first started out.
Building a list is very important. A lot of newbie's give up before starting, most beginners don't have a list and they don't know where to start.

There are many ways you can build your list.

    Good luck to ya

  • Hi

I thought your post was really nice and I wish you good luck in your venture.
You're right, it is hard to be motivated when You put your time and effort into something that you don't know will work.

The lessons I learned when starting out were numerous but I think the 2 best bits of advise I was given were

    1) Don't try and re-invent the wheel - research what is working for others in your chosen niche and stick to what they are doing

    2) Work on one project first. i.e One product and one method of marketing before moving onto the next. Once you are getting results from your first product then duplicate what works for you for another product. In other words don't be a 'Jack of all Trades and a Master of none". Try and become an expert in at least one thing.

Also use this forum is a fantastic place for research so when you get those emails telling you about a product you can't live without - come here first & ask the experts before you part with any of your hard earned cash or waste any of your valuable time.

    Wishing you all the best

      thanks all for your support

That has been my main mistake over the last while
seeing something interesting online-trying it for a week-get board -see something else interesting- researching it for a week-get board etc etc

I have gotten a couple a sing ups to my email submit and have done some blog commenting today
I am also about to start a campaign on twitter so hoping to see some results in the next couple of days

PS I have been looking through the WSO section if anyone knows of an WSO ebook they recommend let me know thanks

Once again thanks for all tour comments and I'll see you around

    Welcome!

The best advice I can give you is to stick with it. It took me almost 6 months before seeing any kind of results, I've spent more than I earned in educating myself, but one thing is for sure. There is an abundance of info in this forum...a lot free. Use it to your advantage!
