Will I lose my affiliate links when converting to PDF?

Hi, I have a word document with affiliate links in it. I am going to convert this word document to a pdf? Will I lose the affiliate links in the process of converting to the pdf? Thanks for your help. Ed.

No you won't lose them. I've converted many Word docs to PDF and retained the links. I think there are 2 ways to do the conversion, one with and one without links but I'm not positive because I've always included the links.

The key is to check in the Word doc that the links are active, how you want them and the url is correct before you convert them.

It also depends on how you're converting the file. Some software doesn't retain the links, but it gives you an option to go back in and add the links. Other conversion software does retain the links.

How are you doing the conversion? Maybe someone who's used the software/tool you're going to use can tell you if your specific tool will retain links.

  No you won't. If you find it difficult, generate the PDf using Open Office.
  
  Open Office is a free software: OpenOffice.org - The Free and Open Productivity Suite
  
  Open a "open office text" document, which is like MS Word, and then go to file and export as PDF.
  
  The whole process of exporting to PDF takes literally 10 seconds, and setting up Open Office is a free-of-cost and 1-time activity.

I totally agree with Fred open office is the tool you what I have used it to make many PDFs and to my knowledge have never lost a link.

Some programs you will lose it others you wont. Most FREE programs you will it will just take a screenshot of your word doc and convert it to PDF. I researched this a while and found Get PDF Software - 100% Free Trials by Docudesk to work best for microsoft word. However downloading open office and using that is the road I am taking right now and love it.

  I agree with using openoffice. I struggled to get my word document to dpf without losing all my links, but with openoffice I had not problems.

I fought & fought with Word. 2000, 2003, 2007, different PC's. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Used different PDF "printers".

Finally just started using OpenOffice and Exporting to PDF.
