    • windy and wet at the moment. I grew up here in Nebraska but lived on the Minnesota Canandian border for a long time (long enough that people here comment that I sound canadian). I miss the weather there winter is my favorite time of year. Nothing beats taking your sled for a blast out on Rainy Lake at a 100mph.

  • Do not spam, but post useful info, you can make 11 posts now (in 30mins) and you will reach 50 , no big deal... I hated it too.
    But make sure those 11 posts are useful info

  • I don't think the op has a problem with not being able to pm. The point is that a new member without 50 post can not reply back but still receive pm's .

    I can see how some would take this opportunity to spam them.

    The pm's should be locked both ways untill a poster reaches their threshold .

    But now that would be an opinion from someone who's opinion has no credence whatsoever with the powers that be :-)

  • I think if a newbie gets a PM and he has under fifty posts he should be able to reply, I had trouble purchasing warriors services because of this.

    • kyhell, I grew up in Minnesota and lived in Nebraska for 17 years. I had no trouble going icefishing in below zero weather, but when that north wind hit the plains with nothing between us and the North Pole, I'd just go numb.

      Never made Rainy in the winter, but I spent a lot of weekends out on Mille Lacs. When I told my coworkers about fish houses with bunks, carpeting, kitchen stoves, etc., regular plowed roads and even pizza delivery via CB radio, they thought I was drinking.

      Been in Florida 5 years now, and I'm turning into a wuss. Under 60, and I want to stay inside...
  • I am a newbie, and I too agree with the rules. Unfortunately, there are many people that join forums, not because they care to learn or exchange ideas with others, but because they want to do the "S" thing we all dislike... I guess I will have to be patient and wait until I reach my 50 posts. In the meantime, I can enjoy all the useful information in here!

    Ok not really. Just having a Grrrrrr Moment I guess. I love this forum and I respect and understand its rules. I have been here a few months and have never once spammed posts to circumvent restrictions on new users. I can remember a few weeks ago laughing pretty hard because a brand new member was moaning about not being able to PM other members. I didn't reply just laughed.
