Dear friends,

We need privacy policy on our blogs or websites for various reasons. For example-your adsense account may be blocked if you don't have a privacy policy there. If you need one /more ,I have two free resources for you that I found while google surfing. I already created a policy for me and liked what I got. Here are the sites-

(1)http://www.disclosurePolicy.org
(2)http://www.freeprivacypolicy.com

N.B. I am not an affiliate or owner of any of them.My purpose is only to help you. So if you like these, please don't forget to press the thanks button-lol

Thanking you
Monsur

In some cases... FREE, can actually be more costly that something which you pay for.

Case in point, some (I don't know about the ones you link to) but some Disclaimer/Privacy/TOS generators have big holes in their wordings and any good lawyer would and could pick them apart.

When it comes to something that you're using to PROTECT your business (and as such, your income/assets) it is imperative that you seek the counsel of a professional who can also provide INDEMNITY.

    Here's an analogy for you:

Security company offers FREE consultation and tells you that your house is fully protected and that you don't need to take any insurance...

Burglar breaks in and steals all your stuff...

You pay to replace ALL your stuff...

    OOPS!

    vs.

You BUY insurance and pay a small premium vs the cost of replacing all your possessions...

Burglar breaks in and steals everything...

You call the insurance company who replace your possessions...

ALWAYS indemnify yourself where you can, the alternative could be very expensive.

    Kindest regards,
    Karl.

    Hello Karl,

Thanks for the informative reply.I support what you said. To the best of my knowledge in two sites I mentioned there are no string attached. Perhaps freeprivacypolicydotcom has a professional version that may cost $15 (one time). But they don't compel to buy it.This is optional.Free version is good enough. These may greatly be helpful to those who have lack of money to pay a good lawyer to create one for them.If one possesses a big business, one should take advice from a good lawyer about the privacy policy so that there is no possibility of error in future .

    Thanks
    Monsur

I think at the level most people are at, it's more a case of just having a privacy policy. The chances of someone actually reading it, let alone being picked up by a lawyer, are virtually zero.
