Selling a digital download with Paypal

How do i link my download to my PayPal button? I don't understand what i need to do to have the site give them access to the download after they pay. I don't want to manually email everyone my product.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer this!

Tmilli, I've found e-Junkie to be great. You simply upload your product, give your paypal details and it will take care of everything for you. It's $5 per month although could be more depending on how big the files are which you're uploading. I have a complete step by step on using e-Junkie if you care to read it.
I'm sure there are other options out there.

    Right!

was doing a research today on how to automate things in terms of customers downloading my digital products after paying and money been sent to my Paypal

And remember with this site you can collect what ever credit card

and have found out e-Junkie is best at that

    give them a try.

just get to their website E-junkie - Pricing
check out their pricing for different amount depending on the size of file you are uploading to their server

you will find out what is best for you

    hope this helps you

    thanks

Yup, ejunkie rocks...AND if you have an autoresponder, you can put your opt-in box code in the very last page of your ejunkie product before you hit "submit". I've attached a screenshot of where it goes. See that part that says "Message - HTML (OPTIONAL)"? Put your autoresponder code there and build your list while you sell your products!

Why not automatically sign purchasers up where they don't even have to fill in the autoresponder code on e-junkie. Instructions are here: E-junkie - Integration with 3rd party and custom services. I sign my folks straight up when they purchase. Most confirm, but a few don't. I guess the only issue is that some don't know the confirmation is coming for double opt-in. I tell them to confirm for an added bonus in the product itself...

Yup you can absolutely do this! Actually, I'd forgotten about this because I just got used to putting in my Aweber code...

 But e-Junkie automatically captures the emails of your customers upon purchase, thus building your list.

And if you want to just use PayPal, here is a thread about it...

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...D6V1HznKSQLoCb

I have been using a script that handles the Paypal, and I wanted to do exactly what you are asking without using that particular script. The above thread has the answers.

Ejunkie is good but you can just go into the advanced features on your button code and redirect to your own download page

Hello - I hope this helps answer your question...

In reading the posts in this thread I was not sure if you are wanting info on e-Junkie or just how to auto-redirect your paying PayPal customers to your download page.

So here is my 2 cents worth...

It is how you create your payment button - here is a short video on how I do it & maybe this will help:

I may have been talking a bit to fast but if this is the answer you were looking for and you need more details, please let me know and I will be happy to help.

This is what I do, rather than pay another service. People are going to close the window before getting to the download page anyway haha.

Log into PayPal. Click Merchant Services. Click on Buy Now Button. Fill in all the appropriate fields. At the bottom of the page you'll see Step Two and Step Three, Optional Items. Click on Step Three. Fill out appropriate fields. Then you'll see this:

Take customers to this URL when they finish checkout

Click that box and put your download link in that field and then click 'Create Button' at the bottom left. After checkout your customers will be automatically directed to a page where they'll see that link and they can get their download.

Be sure to let them know this on your sales page. Make the instructions BIG otherwise they won't realize the download link page will appear after paying. Good luck!

Great information here but remember... Pay Pal will drop your customers at time , always check your pay pal emails to make sure everyone was redirected

I'm doing what you're trying to do. Here's how it works for me, pretty easy and no problems so far:

    * Set up the paypal buy button I'm going to use so that upon success it sends the buyer to a page on my site that has the download link.
    * I put the paypal buy button wherever I'm advertising the product, e.g. in a WSO.
    * Below the paypal buy button I but in big red letters "You must click return-to-merchant or you won't get the product you paid for".
    * They click and buy. Then they're taken by paypal to a generic page where it shows them a "return-to-merchant" button. They're supposed to click that...
    * To arrive at the page on my site that has the download link.
    * On that page I also exhort them to sign up for my mailing list, with the incentive of getting free updates of the product they just bought, for life. This is a separate list from my freebie seekers, this mailing list contains only actual paying clients.

Thats the whole thing. I've pushed 500 buyers through this system so far w/o any complaints.

Use Ejunkie, its easy to use and manages the whole process, all you do is create a product and paste the button code they give you into your webpage.

If you dont use ejunkie and decide to try your own thing just using paypal or some other way that takes the person to the download page after payment, you had better make sure that page is very secure and hidden from the search engines. OTherwise your product will be taken for free and shared by people running bots looking for people just like you.

What about using the $7 script. That doe everything for you. You can even add an OTO, manage affiliates and log into a self contained admin panel to view all the stats you need.

It costs only $7 and you can use it on as many sites as you like. I use it for two of my products and it's worked very well!

Just to add some more confusion into the mix, check out DLGuard: DLGuard - Download page protector, create expiring download links

The benefits is you don't have any file size limits, there is no giant leaps (or any leap at all, for that matter) in cost when your business grows, it links to a much wider range of processors, it has a built in membership system so that you can offer upgrades and other nifty things to your customers to help lower refunds, and a whole bunch of other things I'm too tired to think of right now.

Basically here's the best advice you'll get: Check out the options and then decide what is best for your business today and what will be best for your business tomorrow (and whether or not you want to be forced to change solutions when your business needs change).

    I hope this helps!

    cheers

E-Junkie sometimes complicated for new folks, payloadz not solid on service may or may not download correctly but customer service keeps saying they will fix it, scripts more skills needed.Digitalproduct delivery, aces, easy, cheap, good buttons.
