I need some tips and help using WP CMS

I've just gotten my domain and server from godaddy and have gotten wordpress to install on it.

Although I already have a main site entirely built on dreamweaver and I've uploaded everything online but still need to optimize it for search engines and to do some copywriting.

I've tried to use WP cms so that i can harness the power of their plugins

But I'm totally clueless on where to start, i've downloaded themes online but those themes just look like regular blog themes.

I've heard many people saying the wordpress is a great way to start but it's the opposite for me, I'm completely lost.

I know this sounds lazy but can anyone point me to the right direction where I may start? Thanks!

    Agreed - I was about to respond to this but now I see you already have a thread running that (as tbunch has pointed out) has received several replies.
