Word Press Plugin To Building A Mailing List?

Since I'm still quite new to this, what is the noobiest approach to building an email list. I have a website on wordpress and I'm using the free version of mail chimp. I want to get a list around 500. Where do I start. Do I need a squeeze page? How do I get one of those drop down menu/pop up on my word press site. Will I have to make another site for this?

Sign up for AWeber's $1 trial and within a few minutes you'll have a single line of code you can paste into a wordpress page that will put an opt-in box on any page you want it.

Don't worry about menus or anything else. Just get the op-in form up then start sending people to it!

Yes, aweber is dead simple to use. But later when your list grows larger and larger, if you mind aweber' subscription fee a little expensive, you may consider using interspire email marketer. Both have their pros and cons which you can review and decide.

aweber wins for many because, when their list grows larger, their revenue from the list also grows so they don't count on the monthly fee.

I'd have to agree with the aweber recommendation, they rock.

But to build a list, you should be focusing 100% on three things:
      1. Creating a quality product to give away that gives your prospects great value
      2. setting up a squeeze page where your visitors can either opt-in or leave - the less distractions the better!
      3. Driving traffic to that squeeze page

Just try to keep it simple as possible and focus on activities that will get your goals accomplished
