SEO Software. Is it worth it?

I see many programs usch as SEO elite or WebCEO. Are these programs worth it? Do they work?

    I have used a few that were tremendous. They were not the cheap ones, but rather the commercial ones. I wish I could remember what their exact names were.

    I bought SEO Elite a long time ago, and never really got on with it. It seemed very unreliable, and I'm much happier now just using come backlink checkers, the firefox ranking tool, and a bit of elbow grease.
