All the Niches You'll Ever Need...All Sitting in Plain Site

Ok, so I locked my self out of my house again last week.

I had just come back from a nice night out and realized I had left my house keys in the either restaurant or the club I was at earlier.

What to do?....Well I went to my neighbors, woke her up, and asked if I could borrow her Yellow Pages because I needed a 24Hour Locksmith. So I found my locksmith, called, and he said he'd be there within one hour.

So there I am sitting in my car with this big yellow book sitting next to me.

I was bored out of my mind believe me, so bored I started thumbing thru the yellow pages I had borrowed, by this time I wasn't going to wake my neighbor up again to give it back to her.

Suddenly, while perusing all the categories in the NYC yellow pages I had an epiphany!!!

This was the Holy Grail of Niches!!!!

Now of course it wasn't like you'd find listings for "How to use cow manure to grow bigger tomatoes", but it did have a fertilizer section.........so a little imagination could have produced the cow crap idea.

I spent some time the next day looking thru it again and found a whole lot of ideas for niches I had never thought of. Plus I realized it was a 600 page book full of offline leads as well.

So instead of throwing out this old relic of marketing past, dust it off and spend 10 minutes looking thru it, I guarantee you'll get some ideas that never dawned on you before.

    I thought everyone had a copy of the yellow pages, or at least had access to it online...there are billions of ideas in there if you think out of the box

    When the title said "plain site", I thought you were going to point out a website that we all use with great ideas on it just waiting for us. Still, a good tip, one that goes back to basics. Ask any telemarketer how valuable the phone book is.

      That was part of it too Tom, when I was in college, 15,000 years ago I worked part time as a telemarketer, so I know what you mean......of course we used smoke signals back then, but same concept!
