How to: membership site w/Physical products

I want to start a membership site that offers physical products to it's members. How is the best way to build the site? I've looked a joomla and other traditional ways of building a site but I don't know anything about that.

What is your advice for someone with no experience in site building and very little budget.

If I knew what to do I might use virtual assistants but it is hard to ask them if you don't know what to ask for.

What are your suggestions? Where do I start?

    • Is this 100% physical, or will you need to give them online content as well?
You will need some tech help, but amember, wordpress and a couple of plugins and you can hook into kunaki etc..

  • No experience and little budget. Hmmm...that leaves little options.

    Here's an idea...

    Manage it by hand first.
Put up a Paypal subscription button, when orders come in, mail them out.
Track everything with a spreadsheet and calendar.
Paypal actually offers a way to put in shipped info to protect your sale.

If it takes off, reinvest the profits into a product like this: Disc Buddy - Kunaki Delivery Automation by The Disc Buddy to automate the process.

Or even better, invest in Nanacast...they have memberships that can send out a CD/DVD of the month on autopilot using Vervante, Kunaki or Disk.com.

  • Anybody else out there know how to create a membership site?
