INTERNET MARKETING

Hey
What do you think is the best way to get your mailing list to promote your blog for you (ie add it to their social book marks, mention it to their friends etc)?

I know just having great praise worthy content is number 1, but so far my direct questions 'PS, if you like the site, why not tell a friend' etc, haven't got much response?

Have you had any success with this? What has worked for you in the past?

It's all about offering them an incentive and making it easy to share!

Why not try those viral twitter scripts? or an add me as a friend on facebook image etc... then it's volountry!

Mark is right on, kind of like the $7 secrets, you want to make sure that you are giving them something that they benefit from by promoting your stuff. Look at it from the aspect of, why would I promote this guys stuff. WIIFM?

If you want people to take an action you figure out how to make it worth their while.

Humans are selfish beasts. What would make you promote someone else's site for free?
