Is Clickbank Worth The Cost? Your Advice Needed...

Is it worth launching a recurring subscription product on ClickBank when you have your own merchant account?

The reason I can see doing so would be to access the already huge list of clickbank affiliates. But how do you attract and get them to advertise your product?

Also, by using Clickbank you might be able to attract big name JV partners who can promote you to their list and be guaranteed to be paid (cause Clickbank is handling the payments). Why should anybody trust you when you are new and approach them? But having Clickbank as a partner seems like a good idea in this respect.

Any other Clickbank benefits I am overlooking?

Yes, clickbank fees are high 10% or so and a merchant account is about 3% on average. Is the extra 7% cut worth it?

And advice? Is my reasoning right? What's your experience with Clickbank?

How well are you connected on clickbank? Have you had some success with affiliate sales on there? Are you very well connected with any of the super-affiliates? Personally I fired clickbank awhile ago, but I do know people that do very well with it. You just have to weigh your options out like you are and see what fits best in your bigger picture.

I mean this really depends on if you can get people to promote your product like you said.

If you have a great product, that is the start. And you need to have a GREAT product. Next you need to tweak your conversions, and keep retweaking until you have super high conversions. Once you let the people know how high your conversions are and how low your refunds are (because it is actually a good product) then you should naturally be able to crawl to the top of the Clickbank marketplace.

So is it worth it? If you have a good enough product, yes I would say so.
