Can I put my name on blog comments instead of Keywords

I want to know what I should put on my do follow blog comments; my name or keywords? Because some blog sites today do not like putting keywords on the name section (comment area). In this case can I just put my name on it? If I put my real name, do I still get a follow on my website link?

Please help.....

I would put in your MAIN keyword, the one people search for on Google when they are looking for you. That can be your blog name or your personal name ... you just need to know which one people use most. But I think even if you use your name, if theres an option for your SITE URL it will be hotlinked anyway.

I guess it depends on what type of blog it is and how hard it is to get your comment accepted, but I'm not sure what the point of just putting your name would be? Put your keywords any time you can.

    As MarketItAll said...

Keywords any time you canbut there are a couple of things to consider. Are these comments for links or are you going for traffic from the blogs. You know getting their readers to click through.

I go for traffic so I look and see what they allow. If it a keyword I use that otherwise it's my name and then I put the name I am targeting under my name in the comment.

I go for traffic also because a good comment on a good post can give you a lot of traffic over time.

I actually developed a piece of software to monitor my target sites for my. I typically am the first commentor. Even on sites that get millions of visits a month like the news sites.

Send me a PM and I'll send the link for you. I'll setup a special page for warriors later today. I'll be doing a WSO for it.

    Hope this helps.

There are actually sites that are do follow but they don't allow keywords to be posted on the name area. I have Angela's packets and one of the sites she has there is a do follow site that allows you to comment but you have to put your name on it.

I just want to know if there's any value on posting comments on do follow blogs that does not allow you to put keywords. If I put my real name on it and website URL, will I still get a do follow?

Yes, if the blog is dofollow all the links will be dofollow. Doesn't matter what the anchor text is.

As far as blog commenting, I always use a name instead of keyword as the name. I see that my comments stick more because it looks a lot less spammy to the moderator of the blog. I do the keyword as the anchor text for forum profile linking.

Pardon me if I sound sarcastic here but...

      AWWWWWW

You mean them nasty ol' blog owners won't let you treat their property like your own little link farm? They don't want drivel comments from people like "Gitta Biggerdick"?

      Get out the violins...

As a blog owner, I have three criteria for approving comments:

      1. No keywords in the name. Period.

      2. No garbage comments. If the comment doesn't add something to the discussion. I don't need the ego stroke of Gitta and her sisters telling me what a nice blog I have.

      3. Sites linked to have to meet my standards. Basically be relevant and useful - no squeeze pages, no affiliate links to sales pages, etc.

I don't pay to run blogs to provide seo opportunities for people with nothing to offer. Sorry. Too bad, so sad.

Sounds like a lot of other blog owners agree with me.
