Hey im fairly new to the forum and I jus wanted to build relations with my fellow members. A general discussion on marketing is perfect to opening the door.

    Hi and welcome to the Forums. I'm not sure what part on marketing you would like to discuss as a GENERAL discussion might be a bit ... well ... broad

    Maybe we can talk about how to more potential customers to a website? That would certainly spark some interest?

      Welcome, I'm fairly new as well.

      As for getting potential customers to a website... I have been doing a lot of article marketing, guest blogging, and plan to release a free E-book soon. I'm not really sure of other free ways to market.

          So, what if I tell you that it's not effective... but I don't tell you the real reasons: because I am a terrible article writer and lazy blogger, can't write 2 sentences and so on.

          Do you have to believe me? Does it mean it will not be effective for you either?

          Go and try it. Test it. Get better at it. At the end it will work. More exactly, something will work for you.

            My reason for the discussion is to get a broad sense on what steps there are to take but my primary objective is just to introduce myself to thee fellow warriors

                I do like dinner, wine and candles to help set the mood for relationship building.

                I would like to state I am not easy when it comes to the first relationship date.

                    I would suggest starting with the threads that relate to how to start a business first. I think Paul Myers has a good blog on the subject, check his sig file.

                    Selecting a business model and planning to promote it might not be as sexy a "Make 10K in 2 Weeks" thread, but it's pretty essential to truly breaking into the IM game. JMHO.

    Article marketing and guest blogging is a labor intensive process. But you gain access to a lot of high traffic sites if you do it right.
