Question on Ebook launch strategy

I am nearly done with a self development ebook. I am trying to figure out the launch strategy. In the past I have simply put a paypal button on my blog and run classifieds. The book will sell for 9.99 to 14.99. I was also thinking about a facebook fan page. Does anyone else have any thoughts. Should I do a website and try to do clickbank? I was thinking about a limited free period to get the ebook out in the market to try to build a discussion community and then launch a sales campaign.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks

Do you have an audience ready to receive this new book.?

If not then just do whatever is easiest to get some sales in (paypal button etc) and concentrate on the marketing.

You can switch to clickbank or whatever and spend more time on the site / sales setup after you know it's got some potential.

I absolutely think you should build a website. What are you doing to get your list built up? Facebook should be a no-brainer as far as making it for the right type of people in your niche and making a fan page. Also, look at doing some facebook ad as a great way to promote your page. I think your best bet is to do some banner ads on popular self-development blogs. I have found with the right type of targeted banners you can get a ton of sales. It really depends on your budget.

    Thanks,

I get some traffic due to my articles and time management blog, so I will put it there, but I should probably invest in a website devoted just to this new work. Also, I am using a blogger blog and not capturing names, which I should start doing.

Create a Facebook fan page. Don't try to sell your book from minute one: give away teasing freebies related to your product - this way you'll be gaining fans like if there's no tomorrow. Once you hit the 10K fan base, throw in a link to Clickbank (or whatever you use). Sales will fly in. Easy.
