Which single skill contributes to your bottom line the most?

Hey warriors, just a quick question - which single skill contributes to your bottom line the most? Think of it this way, if you could develop 1 skill and be a master at it, what would it be?

Example: Copywriting, seo, graphic design etc?

For me its copywriting, when I reach ace of space status that skill is easily worth 500bucks an hour. Thus outsource the rest. Your thoughts?

The ability and motivation to take action.

Without it, everything else is useless.

Long before I mastered any particular skill, I made money simply because I kept taking action. Heck, I've seen a lot of very knowledgeable and skillful people here who haven't made any money... cause they're not taking action.

    Cheers,

      I hear you Becky

Apart maybe from writing skills, everything else is an acquired skill, but without focus, perseverance and an especially good work ethic, forget it ... you won't succeed.

Writing. If you can't communicate, nothing happens.

All you wafflers out there naming two things when the game called for one, shame. Shame on you for breaking the rules.

Hey, I have an excuse!

Without time management skills, it's pointless being able to write because I would never be able to have long-term success. Without writing skills, I couldn't communicate or do nearly any of my current pursuits, so I'd be very efficient at managing my time doing nothing. :p

I'd have to go for SEO. Just six months ago, I wasnt an active practitioner of it, but $500+ worth of SEO courses and countless hours of trial and error, I have my own ways of doing it now.

Of course this is with the help of automation tools. And oh, did I mention outsourcing?

    All the best,

Without a doubt it has to be the ad-copy. It doesn't matter how pretty
a website looks if the words don't speak - a person will not buy.

Copywriting for sure, but not in the sense of providing it
as a service to some other marketer in exchange for money.

I'm saying it contributes the most to my bottom line because
I use copy effectively to convert my traffic into dollars.

And in this case, I'm talking about paid traffic, but it could be
    anything.

Your ability to write copy effectively should be a focus of yours
that you dedicate time to developing on a regular basis.

Yeah sure, you need traffic and the right kind of traffic.

However, the most targeted traffic is worthless unless you can
    convert that traffic into money.

Good use of copy, whether through text or the spoken word, is
what will get you those conversions.

DEDICATION is my #1 skill. I treat IM like a game and I have to win. But if you mean a certain task... keyword research. I won't stop until I find a winner. I don't care if it takes me days to find it.

To me dedication, persistence, determination and any other mindset type
of word should not count as a skill.

Having the proper mindset is a given and crucial to your success, BUT you
can have the right mindset and be as dedicated as anyone ever was, but
not having the proper *skills* like the ability to drive traffic and convert that
traffic into cash, all the dedication in the world won't help you much.

You'll just be a super dedicated non-money maker.

My #1 skill is definitely having an entrepreneurial mind. Being able to see gaps in the marketplace and doing something about it is worth its weight in gold. Most people lack that kind of drive which prevents them from doing anyting at all ... so its definitely an advantage.

As Napolean Hill calls it, "definiteness of purpose". The ability to singlarly focus on a goal and constantly work on it until it is reached.

That's the skill that has added the most to my bottom line for any business that I've owned to date.

For a strictly business skill or task... copywriting, by a landslide. It's the most expensive thing to outsource. I wouldn't outsource my copywriting because I enjoy writing copy and I do it quite well. The truth is, any business task can be outsourced if you find the right freelancers to hire. But definiteness of purpose... that can only come from the business owner.

      My 3 cents,

      Mike

        Amen to that.

If you guys/gals haven't read that book ever or in a while, pick it up again.

        Think and Grow Rich.

Also i'm finding his Law of Success, which was his original manuscript after doing 20+
years of research on achievement, to be a much better read.

"Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude" is just as powerful, if not more so, than "Think and Grow Rich". I read it every day to put myself in that frame of mind.

The law of attraction is not as esoteric as people make it sound. It is putting your subconscious mind (a super computer) to work for you finding things that will complete your plan. Nothing mysterious about it.

The mysterious part is that 95 to 99% of people dont have a plan so their subconscious cant be put to work.

Application of knowledge. That to me has helped my busienss to grow the fastest.

I know that this sounds funny but to me, if I learn something and I do not get it on the road and use it, wht's the point. So trying things out and getting things to work. That has produced me the most income because if it was not for this, I would not be generating traffic or getting leads.

Sales, also known as "getting people excited about what I am excited about".

Without it, you have no income.

Actual IM skill, "Willingness to Try Different Things". Not sure if it is a skill, but I am learning you are not considered a marketer without it. I have worked with marketing firms that do not even understand they need this!
