I have 4 sites dedicated to animals with 2 of them strictly cats. I'd list them here, but I don't have enough posts to do that. I'm looking for products for these sites especially cat products. Does anyone have any idea where I can acquire these?

I am sorry for being off-topic, I don't know any sources of pet products but I just wanted to say that you could list the sites in your signature or your profile.
    Good luck.

Amazon is always going to be your best bet until you find a better deal with a dedicated store, people know and trust it above all others and they sell pretty much everything now.

An advantage to having this history as well is that you can show them later that your site converts people to sales, this will help you negotiate a better deal.

Or were you thinking more along the lines of ebooks and reports?

In addition to the above suggestions, you can also just run a broad search (such as cat affiliate). That may turn up cat-related sites with affiliate programs.

As a side note, here's one of my personal favorite online pet supply shops:

Discount Pet Supplies, Pet Supply, Online Pet Supplies

I'm a customer, not an affiliate, so I can't speak to how their affiliate program is run. But from a customer's perspective, they're great.

You'll notice that they do focus on dogs. However, if the aff program allows you to link to specific products, then that's not such a big deal.

    Cheers,
    Becky

    "Ultimate Cat Secrets"... how funny!

I could probably come up with a cat product myself having been around them my entire life.

I didn't exactly mean dropshipping yourself but finding interesting products and sending people to them, earning yourself a commission

If you wish to sell an advertisement banner on the top of your site one day having demographics direct from such a respected site saying you sent them 2000 customers in one month and 55% bought something at a cost of $13400 would be far more valuable to a business owner than just randomly guessing at numbers

And it would be an excellent starting point for your negotiations in deciding what you should be charging for all those leads

Find something on Clickbank or PayDotCom.

You can also promote physical products from Amazon and Link Share.

I am not sure if there are any CPA offers in the cat niche but you can look for some.

Why don't you learn to create your own product instead of just wanting to be an affiliate? There are plenty of courses...even for free that will teach you how to create a product and sell it. One good one (and I am not an affiliate to it but have gone through it) is the Insider secrets to marketing your business on the internet. It teaches you all the aspects of internet marketing. Go to http://marketingtips.com and click on the products and services tab and it will tell you all about it. Or you can just do a Google search on Product Creation Courses.

    Don't forget about pet insurance:

    QuickCare Pet Insurance Programs

It's a CPA program where you can earn a $25.00 marketing fee or more for every submitted application for pet insurance.

Thanks for some more great ideas! Sparhawke, Advertisement is the goal for the sites, but until I can get some traffic, it's not worth anything. scrofford, yea -- creating my own products is in the plans but I have an "in the mean time" thing to fill. I have tons of stuff I've bought online that I consider mostly junk. But I have an idea for an ebook that I can pubish online and perhaps make some money on that. I just signed up for clickbank and found a couple of products there that I can promote. It's a start.

Amazon has some great cat stuff, including a lot of excellent books on cat behavior, etc. and lots of stuff a real cat lover might be interested in buying but couldn't find at the local WalMart (fancy litter boxes, etc.). I have a site in the pet niche too and its honestly been pretty challenging - plenty of traffic, but a lot of it is people just looking for pet-related information. You have to have some pretty buyer-targeted material to make the traffic convert.

There are no doubt 100s of niches within the cat field alone that you could attack. Have you looked at accessories?, bedding?, books?, cages?, costumes?, food?, health?, toys?... even cat deterrent products could be sold on your site! All you need to do is find a decent affiliate network where you can pick out the best products from the best retailers and you're good to go. If you have no look there, just join the Amazon affiliate program (they sell everything).

Clickbank has a few - I made a "how to train your cat" website close to a year ago How to Train Your Cat

Check clickbank, they've got a good selection of guides, as does shareasale as somebody mentioned above.
