Help a Newbie!

You should link the to the main page. Also, it would be very difficult to build links for individual pages. But, still if there are some specific posts, which you want visibility, there are no reason why you shouldn't build links to that page as well.

You should always point the links to internal pages.

each indiviual page can only really target 3-4 keywords effectivley so by building links to individual pages you increase the number of doorways to your site.

More doorways = more traffic over time - time being a very important factor, depending on your niche and competition first page rankings can take between 3 - 6 months.

However if you use video marketing you can be there a lot quicker.

I would recommend using video marketing if your not doing it already.

finally if your using a Wordpress blog it automatically has a link on every page back to the home page. But if your not using Wordpress I would suggest adding a header link or footer link to pass back page rank to the root domain.

Over time (I used time again...lol) your links will build authority in your niche and your pages will just start to rank really quickly.

You definately want to do "deep linking" to the inner pages, the more inner pages you can get ranked the better.

You may find that you can get a double page listing as well, with your root domain and inner page if you go for deep linking.

Definitely point them to your main blog URL your goal is to increase your blogs page rank over time so your posts can rank well for some competitive keyword phrases.

google friendly blogs-articles-press releases and like mentioned videos are the way to go plus get who owns youtube now? good old google.

So make sure you also include your links and backlinks in your video description as well for extra help.
