Not sure if this is available in the US but it was launched this week in the U.K. and at least France (where I am). You put their widget on your facebook page and every time someone clicks on it and orders a pizza, Dominos pays you a commission - .5% of the order value.

Here's the link - Widget Domino's Pizza - Compatible Facebook, Myspace, Windows XP / Vista, Netvibes, MacOS

SkyNews report on it here - Domino's Pizza Facebook Tool Pays Out For Pizza Orders: Social Networkers Advertise To Friends | Business | Sky News

That's made me hungry. Think I'll check my widget right now. (You can see it by clicking on my facebook icon on the left there).

I wonder how they pay you and when they pay you? PayPal, one would hope. Do you know? Pretty innovative huh?

The concept is good, but .5%? That's like 10 to 20 cents per order here in the U.S. - You'd have to have an entire town order pizza to see a decent return.

Was just going to post something similar....

...not very 'generous' with the .5%.....

Not even worth the effort to promote....

Yes to make a comfortable $100k PA income you would need to initiate pizza sales worth $20M per annum.

What they should do is pay in Pizza - sell 10 pizzas to yer mates and get one yourself for free that to me is more social and a free pizza is more fun than er... $1 or whatever you'd get.

        LOL!

I did read somewhere today that it was a 50p commission in the UK - which is more like it. Perhaps that SkyNews report is wrong. Here's the US Dominos facebook page - Domino's Pizza Polls | Facebook

Meanwhile I'm going to see if I can track down the commission.

Are You Kidding >! If it is available in the US i can totally make money through all my college age hungry late night contacts... Thanks so much for sharing

edit: but yeh, the return is way too low... They are pretty progressive tho, if they would step it up a little for our efforts.

    Hey Guys,

Whether its worth it or NOT... The idea is GREAT!

And we should be modeling and thinking about creating our own widgets to
allow people to promote our products!

    Your Friend,
    Kevin
