Offliners: Part time startup question....

I'm settling into my preferred mode of IM here, and I'm also investigating doing offline stuff for local businesses.

I'm just wondering if you guys (gals) think this is something realistically that can be done in my spare time; that is, after I get off work. I'm off at 3:30 pm so that doesn't leave me a lot of time to "meet" clients. I know that I could do it by email, phone, or meeting at other times instead of business hours.

Think I got a chance?

    Hey Curtis,

Yea absolutely. Ive found that after initial discussions, clients typically are happy to be contacted via email, phone, etc.

You should be able to fit them in fine finishing at 3:30

    All the best

yes you do have a chance, can you imagine if you got one new client a day.
Just do it and do not make any excuses not to.

For sure, just set it up around your lifestyle and make sure not to collect any high-maintenance (opportunistic) clients. Make it known your time is just as valuable as a lawyer or accountant so do not waste it, that way you have more time to better service their business.

Another trick is to automate as much of the information you will provide each in videos, online surveys, etc. Then use your part-time to "plan" (and sell) with them.

I have no agenda but to help those in the same situation. This I feel will pay the bills.
