The least talked about "Secret" productivity tool

It is funny how the most basic tools we use get overlooked for the more "flashy" programs and software tools. The truth is there is one tool that very rarely gets discussed that I could not go a day without.

It is so basic and yet I use it for almost everything I do.

Swapping Out Anchor Text
Creating Profiles
Submitting Articles
Preparing Instructions For Outsourcers
Keeping me organised

And on many other things that I can't even think of right now!

The best part is that it is not even for sale... totally free... and I would not want to do this business without it!

Can anyone guess what this is?

Hey Hey I hate mysteries... You are talking about firefox(With Plugins), Google(With Google services/docs...), or MS Excel ?

Now I can think of Notepad but again I do not think there is anything needed to be
discussed about this simplest program in our computers...

LOL When are you going reveal the answer?

I am going to reveal it when you guess it.... AND YOU DID!...congratulations.

Now I can hear all the groans already.... but seriously....

Notepad is good but I actually would like to talk about "Notepad 2"... it is free also and a big help in making me productive.

I love the fact that you have the option to keep it on the screen while you click back and forth between other programs while you are on a "cut and paste" mission.

I love that you can change the opacity to see documents underneath it while you are working.

It is the little things that add up over time that makes us more productive.

I have heard people talk about the more sophisticated "notetab" program... Does anyone use that?

I would be interested to know what other versions people may be using.

Here we are! Thanks for not making me guess more
Yeah I have used mostly Textpad. But recently I found Notepad++ even more promising
tool which is also free and open source like Notepad2.

Notepad is key. I always filter my articles through notepad, then copy and paste there before I submit. Get's rid of any possible errors in article formatting before I publish on Joomla.
