I'm from a basketball crazy state (originally, not now... Texas loves its football), and so I've been glued to the TV watching all the great NCAA Tournament games the last couple days. And something occurred to me from watching all the upsets.

Always bring your 'A' game!

Pretty much every time I've had a bad income month since I started working in IM full-time, it's been because I slacked. I took my eye off the ball. I punted on 4th-and-short. I dribbled into the trap. OK, I'm done with sports analogies.

All I'm saying is you're the boss when it's your business. You gotta BE the boss - even the hard-ass boss - to yourself sometimes. Do what you need to do, even when you really don't want to. Cause guess what? That's really the "secret" behind the success of all those gurus you love to follow around like sheep. They just don't ever talk about it because it isn't what you want to hear. It's not easy. It's not quick money.

So yeah, I'm slacking a little watching these games on TV. But you know what? I'm also answering emails, posting articles, and getting ready to add a couple emails to my autoresponder. That's the other thing... learn to multi-task!

OK, now stop milking my clock! BACK TO WORK!!!

Yeah I find that when you're in a tight spot you always work the hardest... its just getting into the rhythm of working like that all of the time that makes the difference
