Don't worry guys, no wso coming here or any presells.
I just wanted to share with you a great way of finding new niches. Infact you could find up to 50 niches in under 2minutes if you quick.

It works so well I was going to hide it from you all but then I felt bad...

So here it is...

Keep scrolling...........

Go touch yourself!

I'm serious lol. Go place your hand starting from your face and feel each body part and the niches will start flooding through your brain.

For example: go touch your ear. Niches could be (ear wax,
how to increase hearing, earaches, ear pain, ear plugs etc)

Then you just work your magical hands all the way down, down as far as you want to go I'll leave it up to you how far down you touch

That's a good idea... but it's amazing to see how much competition there is for things like ear was removal or nose hair trimmers. I guess you still have to go with the long-tail keywords.
        {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[1888245].message }}
        • Profile picture of the author Ernie Lo
Yeah exactly, longtail is the way to go unless you have an edge and know how to rank for more competitive terms.

Ive found health related niches are good so this method works well for finding those types of niches.

This is what I love about niche marketing! There are literally thousands of things to market and all you have to do is look around you (or touch yourself) to find a ton of niches. I think a lot of newbies get caught up in markets that are too broad.

That's similar to an idea I've used - not original, but can help you get out of the 'rut' of thinking the same things over & over - just look around, but do it outside of your 'norm', meaning look up, look down, sideways, etc. Start naming the things you see i.e. ceiling, ceiling fan, door, closet, etc. Then do a 'free association' of the things you named i.e. ceiling fan, fixtures, air conditioning, summer, wind power, electric bill, den, etc...

I was thinking that, too; start touching others, but then someone might think something's 'a-foot'.

Joking aside, a lot of you might think this method is bonkers, whilst others might love it, so it's clearly horses for courses - I guess, you'll 'feel' it if it's right for you.

It is a interesting way to express it, but the gold in the suggestion is using the body for inspiration. You will be in the health and fitness market which is a great market to be in.

You could apply this same strategy to many different things.

    What about internet marketing?

Think back to when you first started out and write down the problems you had. "OH! You mean you have to get HOSTING? I thought I could just buy a domain name and that would be all."

Or you can run through your process for launching a product.

Or, really, any number of marketing related processes.

There are so many things we take for granted, yet a lot of people don't know. Using this "top down" technique could help you identify marketing related niches, too.

    All the best,
    Michael
