Will Google Buy FaceBook Before FB Goes Public?

I raise this question not because FB was named the #1 most visited site (pageviews) last week, but because I think a lot of people would expect a Google buyout of FB at some point, but for some reason I'm not convinced.

I personally know a lot of "adults" ages 35-50 who have actually canceled their FB accounts. i never really used it for anything other than business, which was unsuccessful.

From a financial standpoint I don't know what they'd have to pay but it wouldn't be too cheap imho.

Opinions?

    I think they may already have and failed. Don't forget, FB is private, and therefore actually has a better control of its destiny, once they go public, it makes it easier for Google or anyone else to buy them, but it also could make it much more expensive.

    Monopolies? I can see it. Google already has Youtube if they got Facebook as well they are starting to become the "Umbrella Corporation.." :-(
