Now THIS will make me money (Thanks Warriors)

I'm feeling giddy right now.

I just wanted to say thanks to all the folks that posted here - http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...e-without.html

I'm slowly going through the posts and discovering things that are so fun, so addiciting, so time-saving I can't help but smile. I think I'm going on five minutes now, my cheeks are getting sore.

Why? I've found two specific things that will greatly improve my day, and future days to come. (More on that in a sec.)

Because this stuff is so cool. But here is where it gets interesting. See, if you're like me, you're NOT an expert at everything, or close to half of everything. Sure, we may have a great smile, charming eyes and a smoky "Do you know what I'm thinking look?" (kidding) but I, I mean we can't do everything.

But it always seems like everyone on here is so far ahead of the curve, it's hard to catch up. And sometimes I don't want to. But there is so much I've never heard of on here, and folks will post back and forth saying, "yea, that's a great (insert html editor or php, csi, what-the-heck string of programming letters) program."

"I thought so too, but I prefer to use "linus", with heat-mapping your face because my stylish sheets are blah, blah blah."

Now, I'm not making fun of you, I'm trying to make light of the situation that I feel so clueless around you guys!

Most of you are incredibly intelligent, (I know, I know. "But Nathan, I've heard you do a really funny impression of a spider doing push-ups on a mirror with your hands." Sure, it kills a room, but almost everyone I know has seen it now... It loses its charm.)

So occasionally, I'll try to figure out how to do stuff on my own. And that usually costs me hours of time if not more for the more tech heavy stuff. Stuff like web site editing and so on.

Do I like it? Sure. But then I come across a really insightful post that shortcuts my learning curve. Thank you!

And in this case? That thread gave me a link to two (so far) tools that directly affected some of the things I've "re-invented the wheel" on. When I didn't have to.

One, there is a tool that allows me to take a screenshot of a site without seeing the whole thing. How about that! Simple, everyday stuff for most of you. But it was new to me. And believe me, it beats photoshoping and the Prnt Scrn button anyday.

Don't laugh, it sort of worked. But man, what a useful tool! And to think this is normal for a lot of people. Probably, "duh!" But I'm always learning, and getting there.

I'm almost at the point where I can tell my wife's grandparents a few things. "It's actually faster to spread your all your fingers out on the keyboards like this. It's called "home position. Try it, you like it."

The second treasure I found? A color picker. Now that is very useful. I won't even tell you what I tried to do to get around identifying it before. Very embarrassing that I even tried. And like I said, both of these tools were free and readily available.

And the links were right here on this board. For free!

So why will this help me make money? By freeing up my time. That being said however, I'm sure most of you would not have taken as much time as I had trying to do these things in the first place.

But for all you new folks out there, that's why it pays to be vigilant, and remember that others here have great answers. There are so many nuggets of info here (both good and bad I suppose) that a little searching, and patience should help you out in so many places.
