Can using Aweber automatically MOVE subscribers from 'subscribers list' -> 'Buyers list' ??

Some markters will be using this model:

I have 2 lists on aweber -




Which is the common clickbank + aweber marketing model, when subscribers Purchase via an Affiliate link, they will 'automatically' be removed from the subscriber list and ot the Buyers list and given a different set of autoresponder emails.
(i have heard about this, but am asking about implementing it)
















a) Whats the best way to integrate this 'change' of list by unsubscribing them and subscribing them to the new list? after they go to the clickbank thank you page to your Aweber account?

b) Can this system/model be set up and done using the Affiliate ebooks that im promoting

c) As the buyers will go to 'the affiliates' sales page, and then to'their' thank you page, so will i not be able to capture them? due to not having control on their sales page?

d) or can it ONLY be used if you have your OWN sales page + OWN thank you page- as you have more control?
My subscribers are will be going to affiliates thank you pages most of the time.

I just need clarification on this system. And there is somthing called DLL guard right? can this work for even Promoting Affiliate products?

  • I don't know of any way that you can move a subscriber from one list to another - when using aweber.
    You can "automate" this: if subscriber A was on your "myniche" list and later subscribes to your MYNICHE list, you can set aweber to get him automatically unsubscribed from the first list. But he still HAS to subscribe first to your second list.

    If you don't have your own salespage but you send them to other people's salespage as an affiliate - the rest of the questions don't make sense. Sorry. Forget them, including DLguard. As an affiliate you do't need it. What to guard?!

      I dont mean subscribing 1 subscriber from 1 list to another in 2 different squeeze pages, (I am going to modify the post above to clarify it more) I mean....


      (come from squeeze page 1)
      (who have ONLY come from List 1 but have purchased some of my affiliate links)

      These are promoted my ebay affiliate ebooks (other peoples - Not my own ebook)

      When a Subscriber Purchases via an Autoresponder messge mail....they go to the sales page, purchase, enter the email (i think)..... and somehow automatically get unsubscribed from List 1(subscribers) and transferred onto List to (buyers)

      I will have 2 different but similar sets of Autoresponder emails going out to both lists.... who are in the ebay niche.

      So some subscribers will turn into buyers, and move lists automatically. I though DL guard does this, thats why im asking
  • I perfectly understood it first time. You don't understand the system.

    Let me make it clear for you again. Read it carefully because I won't write it down once more.

    You can have a prospect list and a buyers list with aweber. Those are considered two [2] different list and you you can NOT, repeat: can NOT subscribe anybody 'automatically'. If they subscribe to your buyers list during the buying process - then the only thing you can automate is this: unsubscribe them in the same time from your prospect list.

    However, the whole discussion is just wasting time if you send them to other vendors' salespage(s). You do NOT have control of what happens there, so you can NOT subscribe them to your list. Is this clear? You can NOT do anything with them once you sent them away to that salespage. Finito. Game over. They will be the sellers' clients, not yours...

    What is so complicated in this concept?
    They buy my product - they become my customers/clients.
    They buy your own product - they become your customers.

    You said it with your own words, they are buying other peoples' books, not yours. So they are their clients. Which means you don't have to worry about them, they are not and will not be on your "buyers" list.

    • so if i wanted to make them go from my prospect list to my buyers list, then the only way i can do this is having my own sales page/thank you page so i have more control over it?

      My aim - I want prospects to turn into buyers, so i can sell them higher end items. (which i know i can also do selling other peoples products)- but want to do it from MY ebook being a primary item.

      I was just asking can it be done with sending them to affiliate clickbank products.
  • I am firmly convinced there is a huge confusion in your head regarding the sales process, sorry.

    In one line you mention selling from your own book, on the next line you mention building "buyers" list from those that you just sent away...

    Selling others' clickbank products and selling your own product are two different marketing methods.

    As an affiliate (=selling CB products) you do NOT build your own buyers list. The sellers do. Period.

      I dont have my own ebook now, no ebook, no thank you page.
      (so cant sell any of my subscribed prospects there, as i dont have it).

      My autoresponder series is ending out content + affiliate links to clickbank products, where i get the commision....and wanted 'these' buyers to get transfered list from Prospects list to buyers list. If this isnt possible, then the answer would No - but if you want to do this, you need your own ebook.

      Building a seperate list of people who have bought through your affiliate links is a MUST in email marketing. I have a seperate email sequence that goes out to my 'affiliate buyers'.

      Even though they haven't bought MY item, I know they are willing to buy, and so I can promote higher ticket items to them, for example.

      Just a little hint here if you're ever thinking of doing this, always start with a list of other peoples' buyers (don't offer freebies to get people in). Then, when/if they buy from you, segment them out. But ALWAYS start with a list of people who are already proven to buy.

  • Stop telling me what you want. I understood and told you that you can NOT do it because you are not selling anything.

    As an affiliate nobody really sells anything - they send buyers to the sellers/vendors/merchants. As an affiliate you do NOT have buyers.

    Again: NO, you cannot do anything like what you want.

  • You can integrate both PayPal and Clickbank with aWeber. There are tutorials on this.

  • As others have mentioned, to do what you want here, you need your own ebook or a limited edition PLR you can sell.

    The quaility of the ebook you sell will determine whether or not people will continue buying other products from you. Make it a good one so they trust you for more.

    If you are a seller (of your own or of a PLR product), you can put buyers into your buyers list because they bought from you. But if you send people to an affiliate salespage, and they buy from the person who owns that sales page (and that product), they become his/her buyers, not yours.

      So would you advise me to Hurry up and make my own ebook, to make use this buyer-aweber funnel method, rather than send them to affiliate products,

      (where they will join my prospects lists, and then would start buying their products- and risk not purchasing mine?)

      so that i can use my prospect -> buyers to purchase some High end products of my own (which i also have to create)

  • Hi Networking,

    I just got your PM request regarding this thread.

    Basically DLGuard is designed to be run by the seller.

    It will sign a customer up to an Aweber list, no worries, but you actually need to be the vendor.

    The affiliate generally doesn't get access to the customer's details - you just get the commission for the sale.

    Does that make sense?

    So bascially you can add a customer to a mailing list when you're the affiliate. Only the vendor has access to that customer's information.

    You don't need to sell your own product on clickbank, but you do need something to give to prospects that become buyers.

  • To my knowledge, Affiliates can do this. Yes, a bonus product/ebook/movie/anything is needed.

    1. Squeeze them into your Prospect list. Pitch your CB affiliate product and offer a "bonus" for buying. Tell them they can "claim" their bonus after purchasing by visiting "LINK A". How do you setup LINK A? Read on...
    2. Go invest in CB List Automator (CBListAutomator: Automated List Builder and Bonus Delivery System) and setup the delivery mechanism for the bonus. You'll now have LINK A.
    3. Once the buyers submit the form at LINK A, they're added into your Buyers list.
    4. Now, go to Aweber and setup a trigger that removes leads from the Prospect list when added to the Buyer's list.
    5. Done. You now have a list of "Buyers" of that affiliate product.
    This should be possible with Aweber, GetResponse, AutoResponse Plus and any other autoresponder that CB List Automator supports.

    Please correct me if I'm wrong...I'm just thinking out loud here.

    • Yes, this is the best method for you considering that it goes with exactly what you are doing now. The only addition would be that you need to offer bonuses to entice opt-ins and then still get your affiliate sale. DLGuard and RAP are for people selling their own products, not for affiliate list building.

  • Sorry if this was said. I use 1shopping cart with aweber. I have 1sc send a notification to buyerlistname@aweber.com when someone buys a product. Then I have an automation rule set up to unsubscribe them from the other list.
  • Hello all, I'm new here.

    Do you know whether Aweber is the only email marketing service that allows you to move subscribers automatically from one list to another?

    I need a service that does that and currently I'm using mailchimp, but they told me they don't offer that. I need a way for free members to move from the "free members list" to a "premium members list" automatically once they become paid members.

    I hope you can help me, thanks!

    • Actually, as has been stated above, in aweber you cannot simply move subscribers from one list to another. You have to get them to subscribe to your second list at which point an automation trigger can remove them from your first list.

      But, if you need to move subscribers between lists, I have done it (quite easily) with getresponse.
