The Real Reason People Want To Buy Your Stuff

Thought I would throw out a good tip for anyone really trying to improve their sales.

Since people buy on emotions first and then justify on logic, which emotions are big for your prospective client/customer?

By figuring out what they really want you can help them get to the solution, which is you right?

A lot of times people will not really admit what the real objection to you or even what the real reason they want your product or services.

They might buy x becuase they say they really like the power but really it's for bragging rights.

Or they might say they are looking to buy something to help them with answering phones but it's really about saving them time.

You need to show them you are the answer to their deep problems and you need to get to the real thing that your lead wants and get them emotionally involved. By providing value, helping them get their real want, and by really uncovering the strong emotional buying decision, you can see a real quick change in your business.

Just be sure that what you sell has real intrinsic value. If you push the right emotional buttons just to make a sale, you'll probably make a lot of money. But if the "thing" you sell is crappy, pretty soon it'll be your name that ends up in the toilet. Don't chase the almighty dollar at the expense of the truly valuable thing you own - your integrity.

You can also create a market and create a demand for the market. In that way your stuff will be patronized.

It's extremely rare for someone to create a market and create a demand for the market. More often people discover a hidden demand and create a product or service that meets that hidden demand, which brings it out in the open. That can have the appearance of creating a market, but it rarely is the case.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.
