Need to Rent An Amazon S3 Account

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for someone who has an amazon s3 account and is willing to help me upload a few vids to it, and pay for the service.

Amazon for some reason gave me a hard time to create the S3 account. I used a paypal vcc. Amazon then sent me an email asking me to contact paypal and ask them to issue a fax which shows that this vcc has been used before, which isn't possible since it was new and exclusively generated for amazon s3.

Upon trying to explain this to amazon, I just keep getting the automated replies that basically repeat the same thing "account on hold.. if you want to activate it, pls forward us the fax with the details!".

Anyone willing to help?

Thanks....

No one willing to share his S3 account? I only have a few vids and I'll pay for that.

    Thanks...

Is that a temporary CC #?

Why don't you just use a bank debt card?

The issue is you are asking (as a complete stranger) for someone to take responsibility for what ever bandwidth charges you incur.

Amazon charges after the fact - so there is no way to know how big the bill will get.

I don't have a debit card at the moment and don't want to use my cc for it. If this is the only means, then I will have to wait more days, but I need it now.

I thought there were some sort of stats with amazon s3, which show you how much has been used and such.

Use your CC if you need it that badly. Or Go get a prepaid CC. Or Use hostgator.

Well I am not willing to share my account but I would try considering alternatives to S3. Will the video fit in sites like Vimeo, DailyMotion, etc.? You could use them instead of S3. I believe there is an alternative to S3, which is called SteadyOffload.com. It has pay-as-you-go facility so you might want to consider that as an alternative to S3.

    Hope that solves your boggle!
I am currently using photobucket, but it doesn't look professional and it has other related vids popping up at the end, distracting attention.

Is SteadyOffload.com as big as Amazon S3 and can handle big traffic without going down?

S3 is very cheap for the amount of bandwidth it uses, just get your own account you won't regret it

You're killing me man! I can't do it.

For now, I may have to use an alternative like maybe SteadyOffload.com . But still don't know if it is reliable just like Amazon S3 and can handle loads of traffic.
