Google and TV Commercials... Is this where we are heading?

Hi Warriors,

Frank Kern sent this out to his list today and I thought I would post it here to see if anyone has ever done this.

It's about putting out your own t.v. commercial on major networks (fox news, mtv, abc, cbs, etc...) by using Google.

I think I might just try this with a cpa free trial offer and see what happens. I have to figure out how to make a good commercial first.

    Yeah, i just saw this today - amazing huh? Google really are Big Brother! Bet they'll be pi$$ing off a lot of media agencies......

    My production company is setting up to provide production services for marketers wanting to create these ads.

    Though I'm sure, like adwords, without real expertise and understanding of audience demographics and the TV industry in general, it could be easy to blow a lot of $$s for no result!

      Blowin' money is right. If you don't know what you are doing I bet you would blow a bunch of cash. I do think it is something worth looking into if you have the budget.

      I am looking into this today and I am going to take the rest of the month to learn more about this. I am going to try and do this with a small budget as a test and then I am going to get working on a commercial.

      I will let you guys know how it goes.

    This is a great piece of functionality added by Google and has lots of potential.

    However, one of the most important things to capture from video above is that they paid $1300 dollars for 1,000 visits.

    For some markets this would still be a good CPV, but at $1.30 per visit it's still very expensive for traffic and your site really needs to convert at a high rate to be able to cover costs.

    All that said, there is still lots of potential for someone to make a boatload of cash using this new service. It will be easier than ever to get into the TV media game now.

    You might wanna check out how you can actually get List Control for free
    (or really really close to it)

    Its all in the sig.... And thats just the bonus!

    You don't have to check it out, but I would suggest it.

    Seriously, Frank is the Man.

    Anywho, anyone who has video boss would probably LOVE to jump on this!
    Or I wonder if a good old powerpoint would work...

    Saw this earlier today (on a post by Matthew Neer: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...tional-tv.html ). Sounds Amazing but still a bit too expensive.

    Health, Beauty Products...geez I'm getting good ideas with this.
