Can anybody help me with changing nameservers on godaddy

Hi guys,
rsJust bought a nw domain and went into domain name manager in my go daddy account so i could change the name servers to my hostgator account but before i always use to click the `i host my domins somewhere else` tab but today that tab has gone ?!?!

All i see now is the usual,

i want to park my domains,
i want to forward my domains
i have a hosting account

but `i host my domians else where` is not there anymore.

There is now a tab saying `i have specific nameservers for my domains`

So i tryed this went to cpanel for hostgator , add on domian, entered my site but i get a warning sign saying `that is not a valid subdomain/ftp user name`

So i belive the tab for `i have specific nameservers for my domains` is not infact the tab which has replaced `i host my domains else where`

So what do i do now can anybody help me please ?

    Under those 3 , you should have something that says this :

    I have specific nameservers for my domains.

    This is the one you should choose.

    That is the correct one to change.

    The issue you now have is on the hostgator side. Could you be more specific as to exactly what you did there.

    What is the exact name you put in box?

      You won't be putting the name of the site into the box. You need to put the name or number of the nameservers in.

      after clicking add new domain in my c-panel the next page askes me for `New domain name` Which i add the exact new domain i`ve just bought just without the www. , when i enter this the next three boxers fill themselfs and then i just have to add the password but this time the second box `subdomainname/FTP` has a warning saying this is not a valid subdomain/ftp ???

        Hi tina, No i know how to add the correct hostgator nameservers into godaddy i`m shy to say this is the 17 site i`ve build around wordpress going though c-panel its just somethings gone wrong today ?

          Did you just create the subdomain? Is there maybe a delay before GoDaddy can recognize it?

        Let me clarify my previous question: Okay, you don't put in the www., but what exactly do you put in?

    Yes mate you have the exact and the .com is included, Tina i bought it about 1 hour ago now so guess there could be a delay., thanks for the help so far guys !

      Leave the .com out when you enter it into the box.

    You're adding an "Addon Domain" and not a "Sub Domain" right?

      yes mate, c-panel ..addon domain, next page loads i enter the new domian name without www. , the next two boxers the, Subdomain/Ftp Username: , and the document root both fill themselfs out but the subdomain/ftp username box has a warning saying this is not a valid suddomain/ftpusername. The document root is ok if that makes any difference ?

        Try this: Leave the full name in the first box, but take out the 'site' at the end of the domain name in the second box.

        That way, your site will be: nitricoxidesupplements.yourdomain.com.

        That should work.
