Is it OK to use Ezinearticles to create a free report and build a list?

Hi all warriors

I am interested in know that if we are allowed to use the articles in Ezinearticles.com to create a report on particular topic, and give it out to website visitors for free?

Given that I will include all the sources box, links and so on? The only thing I wonder is that if such action will hurt ezine article writer's right.

Thank you in advance for help.

You can set up a small wordpress site with an opt-in box offering your free report and drive traffic to it with articles.

There is nothing wrong with that.

I think the actual question is whether he can use those articles to create a product, even if it is a free one. As far as i Know you are allowed a number of articles ( if memorey serves is 24 per year) to be reprinted from ezinearticles, assuming you have an account with them. I´m not so sure about whether there are limitations on the format you use to redistribute ( a list building free product vs. A straight addition to your blog´s content. I guess that will be on their ToS, so my contribution only goes as far as clarifying ( I hope) what you want to do and how you want to do it.

Please use the EZA "contact" form to ask them so that you will get a clearer picture of what to do because rules or TOS keep changing even while you are sleeping.

You can contact the authors directly and request permission. Some of them will be happy to let you use their articles since they may receive free traffic.

      Hi,
If the articles are already posted on EzineArticles then you do not need to ask for further permission, which is good because this could hold a project up for days, waiting for answers.

    Hi,

Yes of course you can use these articles for your report so long as you retain the authors resource box intact. It's just another form of publishing after all.

But it would be a lot more beneficial to you if you wrote these articles yourself and posted them on EzineArticles, then used them in your report. However your idea to use other peoples articles will get you going very quickly, but there is a lot more credibility for you if you are the author.

    Hope this helps,

Have you ever thought about what eMails you actually open?

I do not think people will have much respect for your work and your ideas, if you copy and paste from ezinearticles. I think you will have a more stable fundament for your business if you build it upon something that has value.

Still, this would be OK as long as you use the links included in the articles and the source link.

I'd still quote the source at least..

Of course you CAN USE EZA for whatever you want in an Ebook. Here is a BETTER question!!! Who the hell wants to buy an Ebook from a directory that is falling off a cliff in traffic and is a PAIN IN THE A$$--- Write it on a better directory like Article Base for instance. I have nothing to do with EZA or AB and I am just giving you suggestions....

Being the owner of a massive amount of directories that many people publish articles on, I can tell you first hand they will be HAPPY to get you to use it in an Ebook because, they will get further back links that they need and want!!!

Now go make me a product I can love! LOL

I have had people take my articles, include then in their e-book with the links intact, and guess what?

I wind up getting THEIR traffic and subscribers. Of course I don't mind that.

And considering the person that threw an e-book like that probably does not know much on the subject they are trying to build a list around, I am more likely to make money than the person that created that e-book filled with my articles.

The point is, it's a lazy and easy way to create a free report, but you will lose your subscribers when they click on the other links, and you will appear to be someone that really does not know much about the topic.

Why not take out a 1 hour block of time, create a 1500 word report, space it out at 250 words per page, 6 pages total, and now, you have your OWN report with no links in there but YOURS?
Or even better. Spend a week and make it valuable.

The last thing I would do is use EZA articles to create something ...lol If you know about the subject then write your own. If you are going to be giving away a free report then you should know something about the subject anyways.

Go do some research if need be but write your own content ...

That's what EZA is there for, and that's why it's called "Ezine Articles" - it's a depository of freely available articles (content) for ezine compilers. As long as you include the resource-boxes, links and so on. The writers of those articles will be very pleased to get their links circulated, exactly like that. That's part of why they wrote the articles - for re-publication (the ones who know how to use an article directory in their best interests, anyway).

The price you're paying for using this free information, of course, is that you have to promote other peoples' businesses and their links instead of your own.

    Is it allowed? Yes

Is it advisable, and worth doing?... Hell NO.

Outsource a short report, write one yourself, but whatever you do.. don't compile a chunk of EzineArticles and use that as your biscuit...

Build your own brand, increase your own credibility, not some half ass content machine who probably knows less than you about the topic in question.

    Peace

    QUOTE]

I agree with James from the richjerksnet...I wouldn't use anything from
EZA in one of my ebooks or reports......and a point from Alexis Smith
about giving the kudos to the ezine article authors in a freebie report
you're going to be giving away under your name...why share the stage?

James makes an excellent point...if you don't know the subject matter..
what the hell are you doing trying to impersonate a real authority???

If you're going to run your mouth....know your subject topic.. really well!!

How are you going to develop trust or position yourself as an authority
on subject matter and content material if you have to give the credit
to others who steal the show from you??? Moreover, there are many
people online who will spin someone else's content and make it their own.
This is one reason the general online information industry gets corrupted.

    One last point...and it's a suggestion....think original....and be the best.

OK, now I got it, I would not consider using EZA to build a report.

Thanks all of your valuable input.
