Which blog platforms are the best to use

I want to set up approximately 10 blogs that will link back to my main site. The ones i have at the moment are as follows.

Squidoo
Blogger
Wordpress
Vox
Multiply
Tumblr

Are there any others that I should use (that are do follow).

Also should I link back to the above in the blogroll of my main site which is a hosted wordpress blog.

    1. Don't link back to the blogs linking to you as Shinxware mentioned. You will lose much of the linking benefit by reciprocal linking.

    2. You got a good list going. You might throw in HubPages and WetPaint to the mix... also check out Scribd.com (PR 8) ... And if you have some money to invest consider becoming a member of a service such as LinkVana where you can post to PR 3 - PR 5 blogs (very powerful links)

    If you don't have any cash, check out FreeTrafficSystem.com. Same idea as you're doing except you get to post to other people's self hosted blogs, and get to choose blogs related to your niche to post to. It's free to use and it works great.
