I've found three really helpfull coaching. They all sell products and courses too, since one-on-one coaching with them is really expensive.

-Jay Abraham for everything business and marketing
-Dan Kennedy for copywriting and sales
-Rich Schefren for online marketing and business

I would suggest to read this forum first, buy warrior room membership if free info is not enough, test what you learned for 1-2 months and if $$$ don't roll in only than look for mentors.

I tried coaching folks myself but failed miserably at it for a variety of reasons however, I do know a marketer who is not a common name and yet he produces results. The guy is Mike Long.

Yes, he is a friend and I do work with him but there is a reason for that. He is able to provide honest feedback to me on my own business and his advice has worked at fixing some of my own leaks and increasing my online profits.

Like I said, he is not as well known as the big dawgs but he can mentor/coach right alongside them without having to charge outrageous prices.

Highly recommend you look him up for help to see what he can do for your business.

    Respectfully,
    Tim

PS - For what it's worth, I've paid him to help me and he is one of the few marketers that I've paid to recieve advice from.

    I recommend myself.

In all seriousness, I would go with somebody who has a blog you trust, that isn't too big (i.e. too expensive).

Also, go with somebody who has EXPERIENCE. For example, I mentored people at the University of California for 6 years, so when I coach people on their businesses, I have already mastered the skill of 1-on-1 leadership.

Use compete.com to find bloggers who get ~10,000 to 30,000 viewers per month. Those people will charge ~$50-200 per hour, and the advice they give you will usually be SOLID stuff.

I was thinking of offering coaching services to the general public, but I'd rather focus on building my business to do it. If an individual approached me for coaching services, I would agree to coach them, as that's what I intrinsically like doing (i.e. helping others).

    -Jesse

    Hey Labno,

It's an interesting question and in reality there's no best place or person to refer you to. It's very much a personal thing and not every coach/mentor is right for every person, so the most effective way to get your answer is to speak to people you trust and also consider what skills and knowledge you believe you need and go from there.

There are quite a few people in IM who have models they'll teach you if you don't really know what you want to do.

I offer coaching, but I generally work with people who have an idea of where they want to end up but need focus and direction to get there. I'm not really interested in telling people what to do or trying to get people to make money in the same ways I do, so I usually refer people who want that to others.

John Taylor is a fellow Warrior who I trust to send people to who are after good advice and I don't think I am a fit for them, so check out his WSO too.

One thing you might want to bare in mind is that with some 'big names' - the coaching you get is a cookie-cutter system which is not personalized to you and you may not actually ever get any 1-1 time with the person you're buying coaching from.

So - check the offer thoroughly before you part with your money and be sure to find out what you're getting. Many people have different ideas of what coaching/mentoring is so make sure you understand what you are and are not getting from what is offered.

Interesting to see some outright pitching their own services.

My 2 cents, check out who are already earning good money from IM and then approach them. TimG, Mike Long, Andy Henry, John Taylor are definitely names you can trust.

He said he was looking for the best options for coaching/training and price was not an issue. So others are giving their options. This is not pitching when another person openly asks for options and options are provided to them and they are willing to pay.

      He already did Alvin.....

      He said Rich Schefern.

Even though I've been making a full time living online since 1997 and have developed many niche sites that have brought in millions over the years, Rich is absolutely the best Internet business coach you can find if you can afford his rates for one-on-one.

Rich blows doors not only on myself but every marketer who frequents this forum. Period.

Rich is behind some of the largest names and sucess stories online. Even though they got in early with Rich before his rates went "hog wild"

If you're just starting out, I don't think you can go past Mark Ling's Affilorama. This guy isn't just a "guru", he is one of the best (and highest earning) marketers around but is also a fantastic teacher. You can do much worse than to learn from someone like Mark.

I reckon, like any other things, one has to really do a lot of research especially over the internet, in order to find the internet marketing coach that suit him. Simply put the internet marketing coach name in Google search, you will not be disappointed. I have personally joined a couple of internet marketing coaching sites and I do get something out of it. After joining for say 2-3 months, you will know whether this is the internet marketing coaching program will really want it. If you were to ask me who am I recommending, I will not hesitate to recommend Adam Short and Alen Sultanic program - Niche Profit Classroom 3.0. Building on its huge success of the NPC 2.0 launched last year, NPC 3.0 is scheduled to be released on the 29/06/2010. This internet marketing coaching membership has one of the largest collection of internet marketing training videos. The membership basically carries out thorough market research and create for its members a niche product with a website. This website is fully seo-optimized with laser focus targeted keywords. Members also get the articles and min-course to promote the products. Let's not forget, this coaching membership has a highly active forum which is made up of huge user community. Among them are many successful internet marketers. One of most interesting section in its forum are "Success Stories" where all the internet marketing success stories of the members are talked about. Members are even encouraged to make their videos to share their successes. Hope this help.

I would suggest learning the language of internet marketing to put you in a position of being able to ask questions when you're talking to the presales folks for the mentor you pick.

Don't be afraid to interview them while they are interviewing you. Let them know you will hold them accountable and that you have no intention of wasting time or money in a polite way of course. After all you'll be spending a good chunk of change for this type of program.

Ask who will be doing the mentoring, sometimes the programs are outsourced.

Go over the contract with a fine tooth comb to see if there is a time period where you can get your money back if not satisfied.

Once you get into a program don't be afraid to delve into the background of the person assigned to you. You may get someone who reads from a script and might not have any actual marketing experience at all.

Don't make a decision out of desperation, that usually never goes well.

Ask specifically what the game plan is right up front and hold them to it.

I just dumped $3k into a mentoring program and have never felt like such a fool in my life. Expensive lesson learned.

There are alot of good folks in the internet marketing world and there are those who are just interested in your money. Be careful.
