I've quietly read WF for quite some time. I recently set up a news website and registered with the appropriate organizations. I noticed several other marketers are going out publishing news based on Google Trends information. I was shocked to see that Google Trends related keywords were providing - VIRTUALLY no traffic on news topics even when you are on the first page of the topic most of the day. Am I missing something on this? What have other people experienced?

    I've gotton plenty of traffic from news stories gathered from google trends. The way I have always used it is to find juicy news stories, set up some PPC around the stories keywords, which can be dirt cheap. I always do this bit at about 4 am to get early morning news readers, throw down a little zip submit and let it run all day, then shut it off at the end of the day...repeat tomorrow.
