Can't Login To FTP Or Access My Website But Others Can

I'm having a real strange problem here.

I have a website that others are saying they're accessing fine.

I can't seem to access it through CPannel or login through an FTP client.

My friend tested it for me and CAN login to it through an FTP client and can access it through CPannel.

I just can't.

Anyone know why this might be happening?

Thanks.

    Hi Jason,

Your ISP may be having issues with their name servers . . . there should be a way for you to change the name servers your cable/DSL router references when looking for a site . . . do some google research for your particular router model and you should find a way to do it.

You can find some public name servers to use here:

    Alternative name servers

    I hope this helps!

    Best,

    Paul

As Paul said, also verify with your web host that you are not in the server's firewall

I have a same problem before. It is because the certain ports are blocked.
Some organizations like university, private company, etc block certain ports. You can use cPanel Proxy Script to access your website. Just google the keyword: cPanel Proxy
