Being an affiliate for big name products

Hey everyone,

I'm wondering how some of you marketers have the ability to market some of the big name products. I've seen lots of sites that seems to be put together by everyday people like successful Warriors, but they are promoting big name products that everyone knows.

If I was in the weight loss niche and wanted to sell supplements, vitamins, fat blockers or whatever, and I wanted to sell products that everybody recognizes the name, how do I become an affiliate for those products?

I've done searches with the product name and affiliate in the search box, I come up with nothing. Checked out CJ and CPA networks, nothing. Amazon a lot of times has these products but the commission is so small I was hoping not to use them. Also I didn't want to have the Amazon format, just my own sales page for these products.

Is there anyway a little fish in this big ocean of products can sell the good stuff and get a commission? How do you find affiliate programs for the big name products?

    If you know the product you want to promote, just go to their website. If they have an affiliate program, chances are overwhelming that they'll have links on their page to their affiliate program. It's usually buried in the footer with all the policy stuff. It may direct you to a network sign-up- or it may direct you to an in-house program. If they don't have a link there, then there's some reason to believe that that's some reason to believe that they don't have an affiliate program- or that they're not paying enough attention to it to make it worth your while.

    You can also always just google "product name" + "affiliate" and see what you find.

      The question concerned the ability to choose great products, not as technically do that. Mmfh is correct?

        Picking a great product is not a problem and searching for the product name + affiliate as I said doesn't bring up any results.

        Looking in the footer for an affiliate link has not done the trick either. I've even written to the manufacture and asked to sell their product but no one replied.

        I will check out the JV forum and see what up there.
