Hey
I've been in the blogging game for a while and have a few reasonably successful blogs in the same niche.

Is Squidoo just another type of blogging software, or should I treat it as something different?

If Squidoo is something else, what is the best way to use and benefit from squidoo lenses in conjunction with a main blog?

Cheers, and thanks,
Nathan

      Hello,
Squidoo did wonders for me. Many people wonder what it is. Squidoo is an information sharing website. As you know content is a great way to make the Internet real estate. It's like a magnifying glass that can lead to you or your company.

Squidoo is in the top 500 Web sites most visited and popular ranks very high in North America too. Which combines some of the best features of article marketing, blogging and social networking all in one.

Using Squidoo is easy and fun, the best news you do not need a background in computer technology to control it. There are sensitive keywords and page ranking in search engines like Google. You can create a lens about any topic you want, photos, listings, links to articles he has written or video you've done.

Before market, make sure you use the right keywords. Make sure the keywords you use are correct for you to be competitive. Also, see the support pages, Squidoo, are useful and relevant. In addition, there is no limit to the number of drinks that you may have. This means that you can make the lenses separately for each set of keywords you are using.

      I hope this helps you!

      Regards
      Francoza

I really like squidoo, I think the format is great, and it makes it really easy to create pages with different widgets and editing controls.

The elements I don't like are that there will be adverts on your pages for rival products, and imo this makes it just one tool you can use, but one you should never focus on. I sometimes make squidoos to link them to key pages of my sites or to create mini "link wheels" to other popular articles both on my site or popular articles that point to it. I think it should be used like this more than relying totally on it for your business.
    Hope that helps.

Squidoo is another Web 2.0 site that allows you to share content with other friends online. Of course, you can still promote your blog with it, which is a useful source to add "DoFollow" links for your sites.

If you want to build a landing page or sales page, you can use Squidoo. If you want to do other things, forget about Squidoo, use HubPages instead.

I don't think it is a very good idea, these days, to use Squidoo.

But its up to you .

Sorry, the page you requested was not found because the site Squidoo is now part of HubPages.

Here's where you can go from here:

If you are a former Lensmaster, you might want to read the Squidoo and HubPages Transition FAQ to learn more about HubPages' acquisition of Squidoo's content.
        Visit the HubPages home page.
        Browse HubPages articles.

    Exactly my point!

Maybe it will make people stop putting PLR products they downloaded from RRW called things like "Squidoo Mastery" "Make Quid-oos on Squidoo" "Lens be Squillionaires" in affiliate bonus packages.

They won't, and many plr sites still have many, not only squiddo, outdated ebooks and whatnot So, are we now going to resurrect all the old threads here that discuss outdated information to tell people not to use it.

Reviving a six-year-old thread to advise people not to use a platform that ceased to exist two years ago. So it's not really up to anyone. Squiddo is history since 2014.

      I've not come across Friendster.

MySpace seems to be mainly for bands and music these days.

I must admit, it was the name Squidoo in the title of this thread that got me to click on it, because I was surprised anyone was still talking about it. I haven't even thought about Squidoo in years!

Then, I saw the thread was originally started six years ago, and learned Squidoo no longer exists. That just shows you of how little use it became to me long ago. I used it for a couple of years, maybe back around the time this thread originally started, and it was good for traffic at first. But, the internet and SEO has changed so much since then. I can't really see how Squidoo would have still been relevant, even if it was still a "thing."

Yes but bear in mind, none of the courses on Squidoo are relevant now as hubpages is different.

So it is not a marketing method worth wasting time on.

Squido was great years ago but Google scraped it down a lot as people were using it for rubbish spun content.
