Paypal and PayDotCom for a Big Ticket Sale

Hello:

I have a question for the community. I will check back for your answers later in the day or tomorrow.

If I have a very successful sale, does it make sense to do it with Paydotcom if it is going to be a high value and thus a big ticket item and heretofore I have not had a big sale spike?

The reason that I am asking is that I am going to be on a call on Sunday where I could have a good day. However, I do not want to get my money held up by Paypal because it is a spike.

I have contacted them to let them know that it is going to spike and just what the deal is but I have been told that this might not matter.

My merchant account Linkpoint told me that without fail they are going to hold indefinitely; moreover, that I didn't have authority to do a big ticket item (and just why do I have them now?).

Interested in Warrior opinions on this. I need to investigate when Paydotcom actually releases the funds to you. I know with Clickbank, it takes a while.

Paydotcom is an affiliate management system. It doesn't process payments.
Payments are made directly into your Paypal account.

    CT,

If you are expecting a lot of sales, paypal will still be you best bet.

Just call them before hand and tell them what's going on. This way they don't freeze your account for suspicious activity. And yes, this does work ... I know it works for me.

I wouldn't trust Paypal with big ticket transactions - especially
if your product comes within 1000 miles of having anything
    to do with MLM.

CSI sets up merchant accounts that will handle just about anything,
even porn, so chances are you're just with the wrong merchant
    account.

P.S. Look at Amazon's pay system. I signed up months ago and
haven't used it, but it can handle large transactions and people
    trust Amazon.

It really depends what you need from it but clickbank could be an option no?

Contacting paypal and letting them know almost always works in your favour if you keep a record of the person's full name and the date and time of your call or even get an email as written confirmation.

I've heard of horror stories with big launches with Paypal. If getting your own merchant account is out of the question you may not have many options at the moment.
