POLL: How much have you LEGITAMATELY made with a Private Label Rights Purchase?

Warriors:

I'm curious as to the question as I'm sure everyone is different depending on their list size. I'm sure this information will be quite informative for many new and experienced Warriors.

For me, the most I have made off of PLR is $800 but then again, I don't sell PLR products I purchase on the internet. I only use it to sell to brick and morter business owners.

Success to you in 2010,

Chris Negro

I've sold over 10,000 copies of just one PLR product alone, but where the product comes from is actually besides the point...

If I create a successful sales process for a product, where the product actually comes from - whether I write it myself, pay a ghostwriter to write it, or find a good PLR product on the topic that fits my needs, it's the sales process that gets the credit, not where the product came from.

Good advice here. A PLR product is just another widget. You still have to package it and sell it. Are you selling a rock w/ fungus growing out of the top? Or are you selling a chia-pet? Are you selling an empty pie pan? Or are you selling a Frisbee? Are you selling "Marketing 101"? Or are you selling "Mass Control"?

Yes one man's trash is another man's treasure. But can you sell that one man's trash back to him? A good PLR salesman can, and sometimes does.

There's nothing overly interesting about the process: Write the strongest ad you can, start running paid advertising tests, split-test ad elements to improve it, maximize customer value, roll out and keep a close eye on your numbers. The devil's in the details, as they say. :-)

Somewhere in the vicinity of $7,000-$10,000 in one year alone.

    No...I'm not sharing *anything*.

Exactly! Especially after rebuilding graphics and salesletters.

  • Chris, what kind of PLR are you selling to offline businesses?

I've made a couple of grand since November of last year but PLR is a goldmine of ideas, graphics, titles, Websites, software and a lot more. I look at a crummy PLR product and recreate the concept with a completely new piece of work. That's the real value for me. PLR stuff definitely has its place.

Great thread!, I've only made about $600-$700 dollars per month when I was
turning plr products into audio courses on ebay.

I'm on to other things now (Starting a transcription business)

I'm probably getting semantic here but I think it's important...

You can't make money with a "Private Label Rights Purchase?" or any purchase of information or an information product.

You have to actually take some kind of action after the purchase...lol.

Perhaps stating the obvious but I'm pretty sure there are a lot of people who keep buying products expecting the money to come rolling in.

      Kindest regards,
      Andrew Cavanagh

    Chris,
It aint all peaches and cream like the ''SO CALL GURU'S '' would like you to believe. It takes alot of time and work to make money with PLR products. I have over 2500 products that i sell and it varies from month to month as to what you make.

Ive had months were i made $3,000 & then ive had months were i made $300.00 ! PLR products are unpredictable and you also have to consider that every Tom Dick & Harry across the globe is selling the same products. :O)

I have found that you get better profits designing your own products from scratch. Of course unless your not very talented with graphics, coding, & so on. If thats the case then stick with the PLR products.

Anyways, yes money can be made selling them but, its profits are very unpredictable !

    Good Luck ! :O)

I have been doing plr over the course of a year or so.

Usually around 30-100 sales in a few months time with an e-book

I usually pick the video tutorial stuff.

I have sold over 200 copies in a 2 month period with video tutorials

The main problem with PLR i think is unless you edit it or the sales where that limited or even non-existant and it's not easily available free elsewhere you have to 're-create' it and put in all that sales funnel work!

Personally i edit every single PLR i ever purchase (which isn't alot) and has to be directly related and implimented into my existing sites (mainly to build a list) rather than going forward and trying to find a PLR product and then work around that to make money from it which is where i think people fall down!

Plus most often when ive been looking for PLR product's that are alot smaller and full of less information than the typical product (especially compared to any competition) so unless you go for a very low price then it's going to have to be a freebie list builder and that's about it.
