Where best to find commission based offline sales people in USA?

Hi, does anyone have an idea where we could find great sales people on a commission based partnership?

We launched recently and need people who can go from biz to biz in their area, introducing them to a cool offline/online method to help local business bottomline swell up.
Thanks!

I would go on Craig's List and start posting your ads and put a hard core sales pitch in there that will weed out the easily offended....in which your left with people with thick skin and the truely hungary sales people.

    Success to you,

Craigslist is a great resource for this. You can post and ad and get a couple of responses. You will get a lot of junk mail, though. Then, you can just call them up and fax your contracts. You can also train them with something like gotomeeting.

I'll give you a great tip on WHO to go after... Radio stations in the US used to be owned by many dozen companies. In the last few years, giant corporations have swallowed up most stations. Clear Channel has over 1000 stations, Cumulus over 500, then there are Cox, Entercom and others. As these companies have taken over, thousands of people have lost their jobs in order to cut costs. Greedy owners like Lew Dickey (Cumulus), Farid Suleman (of former Citadel) have given themselves massive bonuses worth millions while firing these workers. Dickey for instance, fired 250 people and just six months later gave out huge packets to his top handful of cronies, including a $1 Million bonus to himself IN ADDITION to his gigantic salary. In Suleman's case, he was so corrupt and inept he bankrupted the company while making literally tens of millions. He was forced to sell Citadel to Cumulus.

And now, they are cutting commissions of salespeople. Income losses of anywhere from 10-25%. If you were a top salesperson, you could easily make $80,000-$120,000 in most markets a few years ago. Now it is EXTREMELY hard to make those numbers. There are probably 200-300 top 10%-caliber commissioned salespeople like this right now who are very angry, very frustrated, and looking for other opportunities. Find a few of them, treat them well, and you will build a great sales team.
