What's the smartest way to switch domain names without screwing it all up??
Hey everybody,
I'm new here so go easy on me. I have a Google Sniper wordpress site and I have posts/backlinks/etc. It's not ranking well & I've found a much better domain name to use that's more targeted with little competition. I've since discovered that a highly targeted domain, with little competition, will quickly rank well (I have one site that indexed AND ranked in it first 30 hours at #12 position on Google!)
Do I use my new domain and copy/paste all the info from the other site? Sounds simple, but I've heard that Google will see it as duplicate content and my new site my not go anywhere- even with a new domain name.
Or, do I just go into Wordpress and replace old domain name with the new domain url? Also sounds simple, but how will Google view this? Will it index it as a new site, or will it see it as the same old site with a new domain name?
