It does look nicer. Note from a marketers point of view, the description box is now at the bottom of the video. So I guess all those videos that have an arrow pointing to the right and telling people to click the link over there to the right are now a little obsolete!

    It looks more crisp and clear, I wonder whether the speed of viewing videos will improve too (some computers videos load slowly)

    This layout may not be the best when it comes to internet marketing, because if you had directed people to your link in the sidebar, the sidebar is now below the video.

    One thing...Google is going to really make a big push with YouTube Adwords ads with this new design so it will be interesting to see how they perform.

        @konradbraun - I just started with the new redesign, I'll post back with some feedback in a week or so to say how things are going.

          Good stuff... looking forward to it!

          I do marketing on youtube myself as well (a bit) and actually just started doing it... but I have a feeling those adsense ads on there could be killer (except when people click it accidently because they wanted to close the adsense popup).

          But yeah... will keep my eyes open!

    The new site seems a bit boring, too dry. It's also a little awkward because the subscription/favorites/etc buttons are a little hidden. Small details matter.

    As a marketer, I don't know. Haven't marketed anything on youtube.

    They're going for a simpler interface with the aim of increasing time on the site. It makes sense if your trying to flog adwords on it.

    Personally, I like the new interface. People will always complain but the changes have been made based on a study of user behaviour / feedback so the complainers will be in the minority.

    I am not really digging it. But you really have to adapt because things change so much in this industry.

    It might be just me but a large majority of the videos are taking too long to load.

    its good to have enhancement in view.. i think they should work on increasing their speed of loading videos which irritates badly (not hitting youtube but just a suggestion)
