Hi guys,

I am interested in offline marketing. You know getting at top of serps for local businesses, setting up autoresponders for em...etc.

Thing is I don't know how to do any of it. What is the best way to learn this. Is there a program or maybe could you guys tell me.

Just wanna learn and don't even know enough to know where to go for help.

Thanks.

Best thing for you is to learn SEO.

If you want to be in the top for your keyword (i.e. carpet cleaning london), you need lots of backlinks from related, high PR sites ... with the above keyword in its anchor text linking to your site.

Also, get your site optimized for that keyword, outsource some content specifically designed for that keyword and you will get ranked in no time. getting local businesses into the top of SERPS is fairly easy I'd say.

    Any questions let me know

    • There are a ton of courses out there on small business SEO.

The first thing I would do if I were you is set up a blog and optimize it for your local town or city for either SEO, online marketing or something similar.

Start dominating your local city for this term first! Start writing articles and have a few product pages.

Then you can go out and start marketing your services to your local marketing but Nick is right, you MUST learn SEO first!

Who the heck is going to hire you if you dont know how to get them on the first page of Google?

I can train you how to do this, but my time is not free. If you're short on cash I would be willing to train you as a unpaid intern. I will teach you what you need to know but in exchange for your training I will have you perform SEO tasks for my clients.

Shoot me a PM if you are interested.

    Eric,

Just to clarify, are you wanting to learn how to do SEO work or wanting to learn how to take what you already know offline?
