What is the Best (and cheapest) shopping cart solution out there?

I'd like to know what shopping cart system everyone swears by. I also have a lot of wordpress niche sites I'd like to add some products on too if that makes a difference in what you'd recommend. Thanks everyone for sending me some guidance

    Not sure if they are a proper shopping cart provider but they are a great merchant account anyone can sign up with. With some neat coding you can integrate it with your wordpress design very quickly.
