Did you ever get discouraged after completing a product?

Did you ever work hard to complete a product, then, just before you release it start having doubts, fears, and get discouraged because you believe it won't sell despite your encouraging research?

Mike's point is very important. You need to keep products in the pipeline. You cannot produce one product and say ahhh... I've done it and expect fame and fortune to just come your way. You need to do it again and again and again. I know it sounds like work, but that's the way it is.

Hi guys, yeah I am actually there at the moment I just completed EZYTRAK and am adding some last minute changes suggested by a well respected reviewer, (Thanks Scott ) and although the feedback I received from those that have sent their reviews in, I am going through a slight hesitation.

I know this will change by tomorrow, and I also know for me at least, being that this is my first real product, and first real experience at online marketing, I am wondering what to do next.

I think Mike is right, in that I think this is a human trait. Uncertainly and excited anticipation all wrapped up in self doubt. For me, I go to bed at night saying, "Now I need 1000 sales to make $100,000" and then I can hear myself saying, "So if that isnt achievable, even 100 sales will bring in $10,000" etc etc.

I do have a V2 of the product in the wings, and I also have a new product to work on when this one is on the market.

Interesting and timely post Scott, thanks
      Bryce

Brian, not everybody can hit a home run with one try. Keep on plugging, I say.

Always proud of the products I create, I try to always produce high quality products.. Sometimes wish I could add more in with a product but the time invested would not be worth the return though..

I think that your fears are somewhat appropriate.
Fear can cause us to think and then re-think,
test and then re-test, wright and then re-wright.

Sharpening our skills in the process.
Nothing at all wrong with that.

Your product may be superb but how's your Sales Copy?

For me, that is one of the biggest issues.
I can perform all of the SEO, write all the articles and
Do all of the advertising that I want but if I cant hold my
visitors attention when they land on my sales page,
none of the above will really matter.

You might try and have some IM veterans review your sales copy and
    see what they think.

Not just anyone, get some veterans...

If they think that it's terrific, then your good to go.
And if they say it's so so...
Don't be discouraged because you can always update it.

    Just my two cents.
    Cheers.

In a former life I designed, patented and marketed several products.

I always had those doubts on product debut; but learned to anchor those feelings with success.

      How?

I learned that the quicker I got that product to trade shows; or into the customer hands; the quicker I could get the feedback I needed to make adjustments in design and price.

      Or....

To cut my losses and move onto to the next idea because it was not well recieved.

      BottomLine:

Get your product out there! At least get it in the hands of some WF members as the previous poster suggested.
