Warriors, do need a good way to interact with your clients? [LOOK HERE]
I don't know how many of you Warriors need a good way to interact with your clients, but I design sites for local businesses and I do as follows.
As they have questions or need work done they simply login and shoot me a post. Its far more professional than just telling them to email me. They feel that it is an area just for them and their issues.
- I set up a separate wp blog on my domain i.e. yourlocalsite.com/client28.
- I install a new wp theme called WordPress › P2 Free WordPress Themes. This theme makes my site like twitter, allowing the users that register an opportunity to make posts on a feed like format. They can also insert videos or pictures through the interface.
- I install WordPress › Peter's Login Redirect WordPress Plugins so when my clients loginor register, they are directed straight to the posting page instead of the wp admin panel. They will never know its done through wordpress.
- I install Private WP Kruse-Net.dk so only the client and I can view or post and only people registered i.e. their staff, can view the thread.
- I also install BM Custom Login: WordPress Login Page Plugin and put their logo in place of the traditional "WordPress" logo. This make it look extremely professional and custom to them.
- I then subscribe to all threads posted to send me an email, so I know when they have made an update, question or comment.
