Now I'm sure my PC is hacked...Help Please

Hi,

For a while now I've noticed that my PC slowed down.

I usually take these things seriously so I updated my windows, updated anti-virus, updated firewall, installed spybot. I even installed Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware.

However, I think something still managed to get through.

A while ago, I was creating an advertisement of a product, right after I clicked save the site displayed an error page saying something like I'm trying to do a SQL Injection. I checked out SQL Injection in Wikipedia and here's what I got...

SQL injection - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Seems that I'm Hijacked or something..

I don't want to reformat, is there an alternative to these kinds of things...

Please help.

You should run a full scan and maybe things like HijackThis. Also, if it is browser related, change browsers. However, some viruses are so nasty, they get into everything and you just have to reformat. You might want to consider buying a cheap drive to run your os, and mount your current drive as a slave. Then you can at least access everything still.

I will personally save all the important files that I want into my external hard drive and just reformat the computer.

It is better to be safe than sorry as you will not want these nasty virus or spyware to get access to your credit card or paypal information when you are purchasing products online through that computer.

The virus or spyware might still be in your computer even you have done a full scan of your computer. I feel it will be worth the investment of your time to reformat your computer so that you will know that the computer is safe to use.

Hope my humble contribution is useful to you

Personally, I am not sure if your computer is hijacked or a virus just crept in to your PC. But, if you are trying to reformat your computer, I have some advise for you. Do not keep your system connected to the Internet while re-formating it. This is because, when you reformat your system you will no longer have an OS or a firewall in there to protect you and as soon as you install windows, you will be attacked by a virus. I dont know the name of the virus but, it just keeps shutting down your computer every now and then. This has happened to me twice before and happens always with my friends. The root cause is being connected to the Internet while you format your PC. Just avoid that.

DO NOT reformat your hard drive!!!! There are only a few occasions to take such drastic measures and this is not it! Here's your game plan.

Step #1) Go to safe mode

Step #2) Run HouseCall - Free Online Virus Scan - Trend Micro USA

    Step #3) Run Malwarebytes

    Step #4) Reboot

    Step #5) Install http://www.comodo.com/

If you re using Norton or Mcaffe, you will need to uninstall thes programs prior to activating Comodo. Comodo is one of the best, if not the best Anti-virus programs on the market.
